| #1BROM54May 11, 2009 11:53:49 | Alright so I'm trying to run a campaing set in FR and was going to use the scepter tower. Unforutunately, it sucks imo so I'm scrapping that idea and starting over. The problem is We are playing already(I ran them through the Frozen Tower adventure from Dungeon) and I need something to go with. I was thinking of taking the Zelbross bandits hook in the campaign guide and running that into the Barrow of the Forgotten King all the way throught the Fortress of the Yuan-Ti. I don't have these adventures and was wondering if anyone could let me know how well that would play out and if it would be overly hard to adapt them. Thanks in advance for any help. |

Sceptre Tower has a small regional map with a few ideas: warring hobgoblin tribes, lizardfolk of the Smear and, of course, the goblins and whatnot mentioned in the FRCG. There are also a couple of weird sites waiting for further development: Stormkeep and the Reversed Obelisks. Actually, that area is crying out for a sandbox game- enjoy! ;) |

Players are 5th level now and: -played through the Barrow of the Ogre King (I set it in Daggerford) -have been through Draigdurroch Tower (Dungeon #159) -cleared out Zhent slavers in Zelbross and Llorkh (I used the old FR setting for that town, with H2's dwarven stronghold attached.) -are about to head down to the High Moor (using Elminster's Ecologies on the High Moor as a great reference). -will have to deal with Secomber (Ravenloft-feel town with a large castle + undead presence) Its worked great as a sandbox since theres no real regional nation or leaders in the area. Players have more influence and can shape things to come. |

They all go together and appear to tie in very well with how I am going to run the Zelbross Bandits encounter. I was wondering now if anyone had any type of map for any nearby towns that I could use. the best I've come up with is the map for Brindol from the Red Hand of Doom. I was thinking about running it out of Secomber but can't find any type of map for it. |
