| #1todesherrMay 13, 2008 22:44:12 | After reading that link from Baker about the gods, celestial courts, etc, I really would like to know... Anyone have the scoop? |
| #2StiggerMay 14, 2008 0:41:42 | No idea... not sure we're actually going to know until the 4e setting is released. |
| #3iakhovasMay 14, 2008 8:25:41 | Consider it confirmed. |
| #4lord_karsusMay 14, 2008 11:42:57 | -Wonder where Tyr went... |
| #5StiggerMay 14, 2008 15:32:27 | And what became of Tymora in the process... |
| #6lord_karsusMay 14, 2008 15:34:40 | -And, how does Sune feel about all of this? |
| #7sfdragonMay 14, 2008 16:11:46 | whether or not Cyric is laughing at this. |
| #8StiggerMay 14, 2008 16:38:08 | Anyone want to bet that the answers to all of it are going to be, for the most part, unforthcoming? :D |
| #918DELTAMay 14, 2008 20:51:04 | Consider it confirmed. -Brian when are you going to have the next article up? Is it going to be about the 4E Realms Pantheon? I need a Realmslore fix!!! Please, Thanks!!! ![]() 18D ;) :D |
| #10lord_karsusMay 14, 2008 21:38:04 | -Brian when are you going to have the next article up? Is it going to be about the 4E Realms Pantheon? I need a Realmslore fix!!! Please, Thanks!!! -I don't know how much he's involved, but I do remember being told it was due out in March...Yeah, it's the middle of May now. |
| #11iakhovasMay 14, 2008 22:36:25 | I'm not sure who is writing a pantheon article, if any. My next article highlights Cormyr and should be up in the next couple weeks. Having said that, you will see at least one future article from me covering an astral dominion (ie. a planar realm of one or more gods). :evillaugh |
| #12valgardMay 15, 2008 2:09:50 | Having said that, you will see at least one future article from me covering an astral dominion (ie. a planar realm of one or more gods). :evillaugh Have you asked Gray Richardson about this? He's the Sage of Candlekeep specialized in the planes of Realmspace. :P |

I'll, I'll... I'll poke his nose... Yeah, I got nothing. Must... Plot... |
| #14todesherrMay 15, 2008 7:28:55 | -Wonder where Tyr went... I am assuming he was booted out of Realmsspace for reasons of incompetence to hold office....;) |
| #15lord_karsusMay 15, 2008 9:43:23 | I am assuming he was booted out of Realmsspace for reasons of incompetence to hold office....;) -That explains the 'why', not the 'where'. It's not like he has a huge following anywhere else to "retreat to", so to speak. |
| #16KhaeliethMay 15, 2008 10:10:53 | in Norwegian, Tuesday's named after Tyr, Tirsdag (Literally "Tyr's Day"). Much like Thor got Thursday, Torsdag (Thor's Day). And as we've got a party of Norse/nazi worshippers in Norway, where they party leader's title is "Odin's Chief Prophet," he might be welcome there. |
| #17lord_karsusMay 15, 2008 10:27:09 | -Hmm, I didn't think his following, so to speak, was so large. But, then again, those Norwegians with their cultural revival stuff as of late. |

| #19KhaeliethMay 15, 2008 15:37:19 | Nei, de er ikke helt lure;p Man må le litt, Vigrid er lettere tilbakestående. Husker de kalte blondinevitser rasistiske her om dagen. |
| #20todesherrMay 15, 2008 20:50:36 | Nei, de er ikke helt lure;p You are very lucky to live in perhaps the best country on earth and I truly mean that. |
| #21KhaeliethMay 16, 2008 5:27:59 | Only partially live there; spend half my time in Scotland and half in Norway. Norway's full of whiney, half-racist bigots, so i can only stomach them for so-so long. |
| #22todesherrMay 16, 2008 7:49:28 | Only partially live there; spend half my time in Scotland and half in Norway. Norway's full of whiney, half-racist bigots, so i can only stomach them for so-so long. Scotland is great as well. Can you elaborate on the 'whiney, half-racist bigots' a bit? |
| #23KhaeliethMay 16, 2008 12:08:35 | A specific political party. They once had a garden dinner beside my mate's house, so i obviously had to shout "fascist pigs!" They want to fine asylum seekers for not teaching their children Norwegian when they're giving them money for keeping them at home during nursery, because we don't have enough nurseries. This sorta makes it bloody difficult for the kid to learn Norwegian. They're also the most right-wing and capitalist party in Norway, with loads of followers from primarily white fishing and farming communities, and a surprising amount of workers too. Norwegians continually whine about how bad things are, which is the whiney bit=) |

Why do you spend so much time in Scotland anyway? |
| #25KhaeliethMay 17, 2008 7:12:01 | islamic presence doesn't bother me; one of my best friend's BF's a Muslim, two of my drinking mates are Muslims. And where there did i mention islam in my post? Not all asylum seekers are Muslims. Tamiles, which i know a few of, are Catholics. A fair few Vietnamese folk i knew were Catholic too. A lot of Africans are Christians. i study in Glasgow, because i wanted a new setting. Also, being half-Scots means the language barrier was fairly easy to overcome. Whereas it's worse when it comes to Protestanism-Catholicism secularism (Almost got the daylights beaten outta me by Protestants for being a Catholic the other day, near Catholic turf, non-the-less!), it's generally far more tolerant. When terrorists attacked Glasgow Airport a year ago, with me flying there the next day, they were already making jokes about it. |

I think you take Norway for granted; you should see the rest of the world before doing that.;) |
| #27KhaeliethMay 17, 2008 8:59:18 | Not taking Norway for granted; it's a great country. But once i got to Scotland i noticed several differences. Scottish education is far superior for the motivated pupils; they can leave for uni at 16/17, Norwegians at 18/19. A good 17 year old Scot has one year more education-wise on the Norwegian when they finish (They learn uni stuff at high school), and the Norwegian's 2 years older, ergo they're possibly three years ahead. Most Scots finish at 17/18 though. Also, Norway's not in the EU, so it's far more expensive being a Norwegian student abroad in Europe. Obviously, Scotland's got its share of shortcomings too; neds, hooliganism, secteranism etc. Not quite sure which country i prefer. |

I realise that the EU issue is a very heated issue in Norway, perhaps the biggest one in recent times. But the fact is that the EEA is open to Norwegians irrespective of the EU membership issue. How young are you? |
| #29KhaeliethMay 18, 2008 7:33:39 | 20. Just comparing two western countries' pros and cons, but Norway's got one thing going for it though. it's a less prude country than Scotland. Chavs aren't just annoying, they're bloody dangerous up here. Never know if they're about to pull a knife on you. Someone just got stabbed to death outside my uni library. |
| #30GreenKnightMay 19, 2008 1:11:37 | This thread sucks. Where the hell's all the buttkissing and praise which is my rightful due? |
| #31sfdragonMay 19, 2008 3:10:46 | Im still waiting for them to confirm Greenknight as a demi-god |
| #32SmartPaladinMay 19, 2008 3:12:26 | This thread sucks. Where the hell's all the buttkissing and praise which is my rightful due? That depends... *puts on glasses, takes out notebook* Your name sir? |
| #33todesherrMay 19, 2008 8:41:49 | This thread sucks. Where the hell's all the buttkissing and praise which is my rightful due? Until I see it on paper you get nothing from me...;) |
| #34KhaeliethMay 19, 2008 8:44:04 | Le Morte D'Arthur? |
| #35rinonalyrna_fathomlinMay 19, 2008 10:43:05 | Im still waiting for them to confirm Greenknight as a demi-god Now now, there's an epic destiny that will let any (I think *any*) epic level character be a "demigod." GK can take that ED when the time comes. Until then, he'll just have to WAIT his turn like everyone else! |
| #36lord_karsusMay 19, 2008 11:03:33 | Now now, there's an epic destiny that will let any (I think *any*) epic level character be a "demigod." -Remember. There can only be one, though. ;) |
| #37rinonalyrna_fathomlinMay 19, 2008 11:43:47 | -Remember. There can only be one, though. ;) That probably means there's a queue. GK has to wait on line--once the current epic level "demigod" actually reaches apotheosis, THEN GK can take that ED.It all works out! |

| #41lord_karsusMay 19, 2008 16:46:11 | yeah, but the code of Karsus "is" still law -Of course, that's all rhetoric for fun and all. :raincloud |
| #42StiggerMay 19, 2008 16:50:58 | *points and laughs at LK* *throws spoiled herring at LK* Feel the love... oh, and respect too. *pokes LK in the eye* :P :D |
| #43GreenKnightMay 19, 2008 16:59:50 | Hey, at least you got the Aspects of Karsus, Avatars of Karsus, Hands of Karsus, Chambermaids of Karsus, Chamberpots of Karsus, Outhouses of Karsus, and so on. That's way better then a lousy severed head, which most of the time is mine. But hey, if it makes you feel better, then do what I do. Put on some Kenny Loggins and shake things up. ![]() ![]() |
| #44TheriseMay 19, 2008 17:23:48 | -Remember. There can only be one, though. ;) Technically, I think it's "There should have been only one."* -You get no respect? How do you think I feel? Just painful, really. |

That's way better then a lousy severed head, which most of the time is mine. -I only have Hands of Karsus. | #49JudgeDookieMay 20, 2008 16:15:28 | Sorry, Greenknight. Most lips are stuck to Karsus's booty on another thread. Just have to wait your turn. |
| #50maskedoneMay 20, 2008 18:51:06 | This thread sucks. Where the hell's all the buttkissing and praise which is my rightful due? You're not Mystra or any other legitimate incarnation of Lady Magic, why would I provide praise? I'd put you forward as a demi-power but that makes you a pawn in my more recent business. Pawns I put in positions of divine power don't last 10 years. I could use one but I'm not certain you're interested. LK, should I be negotiating with your Konsort as well in the future? |
| #51rinonalyrna_fathomlinMay 20, 2008 18:58:10 | LK, should I be negotiating with your Konsort as well in the future? I don't think he'd appreciate that.;) |

| #53maskedoneMay 20, 2008 19:15:15 | I don't think he'd appreciate that. *Shrug* Granting the rank of consort grants you influence in his affairs, unless Konsort is significantly different, same rule applies. Better to get specific rules on treaty negotiation early. Mystra's approaching leave of absence will complicate life enough. I'm not going to complicate my own life by suggesting negotiations of any matter not directly related to my service to Mystra. *absentmindly throws Bane at JudgeDookie* |

LK, should I be negotiating with your Konsort as well in the future? -If I am otherwise incapacitated, yes. She is the only one I'd trust. Maybe Brennon, but he's not around really, anymore. I don't think he'd appreciate that.;) -Why's that? |
| #56maskedoneMay 20, 2008 21:27:40 | -How is ol' Velsharoon doing? He has graciously donated much of himself to serve as part of the safeguards I'm using to keep certain portals closed through the Mystra's apparent (anyone actually thinks I'll permit the real variant?) death. One moment, ****** *Divine shriek* Velshy, Velshy, Velshy, I keep telling you that volunteering to serve as my eyes and ears in Baator is highly appreciated but not necessary. Now quit singing, this enchantment is delicate in the beginning and requires your full attention. ****** He's such an enthusastic assistant. It's just a matter of making certain that he takes things at the proper pace instead of trying to rush ahead. -If I am otherwise incapacitated, yes. She is the only one I'd trust. Maybe Brennon, but he's not around really, anymore. Thanks for the info. JudgeDookie, interesting form of diplomacy. I'll be shipping Cyric to you in a couple weeks. |

It's just a matter of making certain that he takes things at the proper pace instead of trying to rush ahead. -Yeah, that was always his problem. He was always planning, planning, planning, scheming, scheming, scheming, and could never wait things out. That often bit him in the butt. |
| #58maskedoneMay 20, 2008 21:50:25 | It's a flaw that infects many young workers of Art and a few who should be old enough to know better. I've met some alarmingly impatient magi with over a millennia or three under their belts. They used to pick up a talent for pacing by 500 . World's just getting weird. |

| #64rinonalyrna_fathomlinMay 21, 2008 8:56:21 | -Why's that? I'm your Konsort. I didn't think you wanted to "lend" me to other mages.;) |
| #65lord_karsusMay 21, 2008 9:54:03 | I'm your Konsort. I didn't think you wanted to "lend" me to other mages.;) -Masked One isn't a mage, but, trust me, there's no way in the Nine Hells I'd "lend you out" to others. If I was to otherwise be incapacitated, or something to the effect, you'd have to handle my affairs. You'd have to command the Hands of Karsus, kill any Karsus Clones, look for the 'legendary' Third Aspect, and so on and so forth. That's what that means. |

| #67maskedoneMay 21, 2008 11:15:56 | Not just a mage anyway, I have several different fields of magical study. Simplest and most complete description, I serve the office of the Goddess of Magic and any legitimate holders of that office and am empowered with whatever titles or capacities are necessary for the completion of my mandate. To echo LK, I'm not currently seeking a consort and would not be interviewing the Konsort of LK if I were. However, in the interests of not destroying Toril through open conflict between us, some of my affairs require negotiation with LK before I progress. It's good to know who is empowered to negotiate in his name and under what circumstances. |
