I'm having trouble understanding Kara-Tur.

The Kara-Tur: Eastern Realms PDF? I got it a few weeks ago and read Volume I. There was a lot of terms, places, cities, and people that the book apparently expects me to know already, such as all the Dynasties of every country, what every religion is, and so on. Is there anywhere that can explain the Kara-Tur countries a bit more...user-friendly? Or, could someone (cough Markustay) help me understand it more?

In addition, can anyone give me specific maps on Koryo, Wa and Kozakura? Provincial maps preferably.

I'm working on a High-Res version of those three right now, as a matter of fact.

As for the rest - its VERY chaotic, and in some places doesn't agree with itself, and the dating is very confusing and the Religions are an utter brain-fart logically. I was just thinking last night (while re-reading those booklets for the umpteenth time) just how poorly everything was laid-out. Each country was handled by someone dfifferent, and there was no cohesion what-so-ever in the presentation.

Part of the problem is that a lot of the lore is presented in the modules - in fact the timeline is often referenced, and yet wasn't included (it was in one of the adventures). What makes matters worse is that the stuff regarding the breakdown of the calender only appeared in the 1e OA book - a source nearly impossible to find anymore.

Most of the pertinent stuff I have worked-out and on in various threads in various places, and I'm hoping as soon as the eastern maps are done (sometime soon) the rest will soon follow.
