So I'm wondering if anyone has any information on Fort Clymph beyond whats in the FRCG? I'm mainly wondering who built it or at least who was stationed in it? If no-one knows, are there any nations who were interested in that region and if so what's some info on them (national religions, appearance of a flag or logos or something)?

IF there's no information on that, then any information on Impiltur (such as flags, logos, symbology, etc)? If no then that's all fine I'll just make it up. But I thought I'd see if there's an actual canon answer first.

infos can be found in UE.

the tower and its twin tower ( forgot the name ) where build by the wizard Glymph, if i remener right the entrance to Glymph Tower is a portal in the other tower , and no nation , religion showed intrest in the towers...well except some never to be seen again adventurers :D

Aaaw man. I really should have asked before I put a lot of work into it Thanks for the info. Is anyone willing to summarise the information on Glymph Tower a bit for me? Because I'm not really inclined to buy the book for a couple of pages worth of info ;)

Although having said that it looks like a lot of the information from the book as a whole would still be valid in 4e. Anyone have an opinion one way or another?

all this out of my head:

glymph build this tower & and its twin to research the ways of the ancient nar demonbinders, the towers have strong wards that prevent teleportation and are also ( i think ) imbued to bind summoned demons and devils.

the tower it selfs radiates constant heat , what lead sages to believe that glymph opened one or more permanent portals to the abyss/nine hells and now demons and devils dwell in the tower without to have a way out...waiting until a fool releases them.

edit: nevermind just read the expert on the great dale for 4ed, threat this as lore from ages past
but the great dale didnt change much from 3rd edition...so you can work with what is in the FRCG

Wow, thanks That's a whole lot more of a threat then my level 1 party can face. However thanks to the spellplague I can say
Show
that the portal no longer points to the Nine hells which moved to its new planar location. Instead with all of the planar restructuring I can have the portal point to the Feywild, Shadowfell or pretty much any other plane that tickles my fancy.

I can also say that the bindings which entrapped the demons and devils failed thanks to the Spellplague and they've since joined the demons beneath Dun-Tharos (or in the case of the devils simply run off to work their plots).
