| #1SoulCatcher78Aug 17, 2008 18:36:59 | I picked up a copy of Castle Zagyg and want to use it as part of a Realms campaign (anyone remember Castle Amber?). The best way I can think of incorporating it would be to have it phase in and out of the feywild. Approaching through the feywild would have to have it's own problems so that the place wouldn't have been picked over by the fey already. Has any information on the feywild been presented yet? If all else fails, I'll just place the areas somewhere hard to get to (as in off the beaten path) and go from there. |

The place(s) look familar to travelers but there's always something different. The only thing that can be certain is that the powers of the Feywild are fickle at best. Hopefully WotC will come up with details that flesh out the different courts of the Fey but even if they dont, there's enough information out there to get it sorted until they do though. |

The Seelie Court and Unseelie Court have write-ups in Monsterous Mythology, a 2e supplement. The same information was used in 3e, where applicable, so I see no reason why it wouldn't be used in 4e for the same entities. |

Will there be a Board of Directors? ![]() I nominate Chris Perkins for Chairman of the Bored. :P Anyhow, I have spent MANY years incorporating Faerie into my worlds, and I always pictured it as a mirror, but a whimsically twisted one. Also, it is smaller, but not in any way you could tell whilst you are there (everything becomes relative, and you yourself become smaller). However, you can still move along at the same rate you can in the real world, so a mountain range that was five days distance is now only one, get it? This is why when people enter the Feywild (Faerie), they can travel for a few miles within it, and then re-enter the material plane and be a hundred miles away. Its a great way to travel, if you know the secret of getting in and out (or know where to find gates). The same is true of the Shadowfel, but whereas faerie is a light-hearted reflection of the world filled with positive energy, the Shadowfel is a dark and twisted version filled with negative energy. There are some places where the Shadowfel and the feywild converge, and in those chaotic regions the Fey have become viscious, evil creatures of the night. Hope that helps - thats just my take, but it works for me. |
| #8lord_karsusAug 17, 2008 23:57:27 | -I think there was also a Third-Party book that a lot of people really liked, apparently. Simply called Faeries. I believe that THIS is it, but I'm not 100% sure. EDIT: Being that Steve Schend is an editor, I'm pretty sure it is. Anything the guy touches is gold. |
| #9markustay63Aug 19, 2008 0:47:58 | I know - I can't believe that WotC doesn't give him more work - his touch is like magic. There must be some egos involved, methinks. ![]() |

| #12wolfofmanyfacesAug 19, 2008 22:14:20 | The new FRCG contains a page of information about the Feywild connection to the Realms. Incidentally Ed Greenwood's name is on the front cover and he is listed in the Design credits directly after Cordell, in a list which is not alphabetical, so I think you will find his 'touch' definitely remains. |
