Now that I'm quite familiar in stating out NPCs, I think it would be time for a new Realms 4e NPC Characters thread, but, honestly, I don't want to do it alone.

So, anyone? Green Giant? Warlocko? Are you still with us?

If not, then I'll just continue my business.

4e mechanics are weak imo, maybe they'll improve over the years, but I doubt

Actually, I've to admit that I'm intrigued by 4e's way of stating out monsters and NPCs. Recently I grew tired of 3e, and all the time it takes to create something good at epic levels. I just don't want to bother anymore with the overwhelming amount of skills, with associated and non-associated class levels, with the unreliable CR system, with attacks, saves, DCs, all of which grow more unbalanced the higher the epic level goes.

Although I was skeptical at first, I think the new system will do fine. Well, perhaps it's just because 4e is new, who knows.

I keep going back and forth on the NPC's, though. On the one hand, I really want to stat them up as PC's. Just feels right, and of course, I'm used to seeing them written up as PC's. On the other hand, statting them up with NPC blocks would probably be for the best. Problem with that is I haven't really gotten the hang of writing up NPC/Monster stat blocks.

Whatever the case, if you want NPC's converted to 4E PC stats, then I'm game. I can probably get you half-a-dozen or so by the end of the week. NPC/Monster stats, however, are a whole other matter.

Actually, the monster and the NPCs rules are a bit different from each other, so if there were another method, this would be no problem.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna create the thread. Any participation is desired

you're right that can be annoying, I don't care about the rules and balance that much

4e added some new stuff to our houserules tough
