I want to ask you a simple question: do you think that, according to the new background provided in 4E FR books, the role of Knight-Errant of Silverymoon still exist? For those who do not know, this prestige class was presented in 3E Silver Marches book. In the 4E FR campaign guide, Knights in Silver are mentioned, so i guess they still are the Silverymoon maine force. But what about the Knight-Errant role? According to the Knight-Errant background provided in 3E Silver Marches book, this role requires to be able to face many challenges, and to complete many different tasks: warfare, reconnaissance, disaster relief, diplomatic missions and so on. I created a 10-level human fighter, and spent his 7 feats this way: - Ranger multiclass (so he can benefit from the Hunter's Quarry capability, which i find usefull, and i take the Nature feat too) - Dungeoneering skill training - Diplomacy skill training - Insight skill training - Perception skill training - Stealth skill training - Mounted combat (so he can be a REAL Knight) Athletics and Endurance (he is a soldier first and foremost!), Heal (very usefull in the wild) and Intimidate (it completes the diplomatic side of the character) are the abilities at 1st level The starting ability score ares: 14 Str, 14 Con, 14 Dex. 8 Int, 14 Wis, 14 Cha. The 10 lev ability scores: 16 Str, 16 Con. The others remain the same. I think that in this way my character can actuall performe and complete the most different tasks, sacrifying some attack power due to the not high Str score. So, could my character be a goo Knight-errant of Silverymoon, according to the past backround? And, most important thing, do Knights-Errant still exist in OFFICIAL new FR? Thanks and sorry for any mistake! |

But yes although i dont believe they have an official write up of the Knight Errants in 4e, I would imagine that they still exsist, and IIRC Silverymoon lost its Mythal so it would need its knights now more than ever. I could see using a Paladin as well. Its a shame they dont have the summon mount ability anymore, hopefully theyll get that back in Divine Power 2 |
