Lack of "Sundering" Events at GenCon = The Sundering is over?

Since WotC pulls of the Tyranny of Dragons without any reference to the Sundering do we have to assume that the Sundering is over?

 

Where was the big event or adventure where the players decided the fate of the future FR?

 

So far the Sundering novels novels are a simple deus-ex-machina-explanations for the authors why their characters are back.

The 4 D&D Encounters series ended up with fighting a quasi-no-name lich with no consquences to the big story lines.

 

So it's all down to "Buy the FR setting book and you shall see"?

Other than a generic "Storyteling in Realms" Event there is not single event on GenCOn which actually describes what's going to happen next.

 

 

What happened with the "The Sundering" ?
