#1 uzzy Jul 18, 2008 14:49:04	Right. I'm sure I'm not the only person here who has asked designers things, whether here or on Candlekeep, and come up against the hated NDA. It'd be nice if designers could freely answer questions about the pre-spellplague period of the Realms, a period in which a lot of us here and on other FR sites are still interested. It's not going to harm WoTC in anyway if they are lifted. So, lift the NDA's for topics relating to the pre-Spellplague Realms. As far as I am aware, WoTC are not going to publish anything in that timeframe again, whether in print or in the online magazines. With that in mind, I don't get why they still need to be in force, except for very unusual and specific reasons. You'd get brownie points if you did, WoTC. ;)

Other then possible novel use, that is. *shrug* -Of course, the stuff that's already under NDA, we don't know exactly why it's under NDA. Some of it might be stuff that's been retconned, or has evolved since, so it would longer fit with the setting. Some of it, as you said, might somehow involve old, current, or possible future novels.

#10 surgebuster Jul 19, 2008 3:38:40	An NDA isn't a Non Disclosure Agreement if you Disclose the type of information you Agreed not to, right? :P Because of all of the speculation on these forums, it can get painful trying to remember what information is under NDA and what is not, so I think you'll find the relevant people tend to contribute to discussions only up to a certain point before withdrawing. It can occasionally be clear when something is just blatantly incorrect though. ;) Joe
