#1 Mr_Miscellany Jun 03, 2008 1:33:09	This is only as Realms on-topicish as the mention of Karen Boomgarden as editor of ye olde Grey Box set allows. Please follow this link to discover how Jeff Grubb has single-handedly altered the future at my gaming table approximately one week in advance, whereby next Monday I will have 5 sets of 4E books to pass out to my friends so we may embark upon 4E FR, whilst I cleverly lift his Chuck Norris 4E jokes and make them mine own during play. ;) Oh, and the next time I plan on having a humanoid monster hurl a rock/stone/etc... at a PC, I’m going to make sure to have said monster shout out “magic missile!” before I do it. :D

#3 Mr_Miscellany Jun 03, 2008 1:56:07	You know I just realized the whole "Brick" part of Grubb's blog entry is just about what I'd expect to find so far as 'magical tomes' go inside goblin lairs. That is, it'd make a perfect Goblin Spellbook.
#4 Stigger Jun 03, 2008 2:06:04	Works pretty well with most of those monster species actually... could work that in as quite a running gag really, with random piles of bricks showing up in random rooms in various lairs... goblinoid/orcish magic at its finest. :D
#5 DonnyDM Jun 03, 2008 12:39:15	Any dumb monster could be good with bricks as long as he was a brute. Bugbear,Goblin, Hobogoblin, and Orc. Wow just discovered there are no Kobold brutes. Imagine an Ettin one head is the magic user, the other on uses bricks but calls it spell casting. Meteor Swarm throws a pile of bricks.
#6 GreenKnight Jun 03, 2008 12:42:12	Brute Strike, which does massive damage but is not expended if you miss becomes Chuck Norris does not miss - he merely delays inflicting pain. That was a good one!
#7 DonnyDM Jun 03, 2008 12:49:04	For kobolds they could have a pile of rocks on a plank of wood with little rocks under it and roll it off a cliff onto the players. That would be awesome. Why do i picture all the players being Wyle E Coyote?

#11 Mr_Miscellany Jun 08, 2008 13:28:48	About two weeks ago one of my players expressed he was having some difficulty wrapping his imagination around how his Dwarf Fighter could whack a Kobold Minion and somehow hurt the Kobold Dragonshield in the adjacent square. I see where he's coming from, but until I find a suitable answer humor will have to suffice. ;)

However the only thing that happened of interest in game the last time we played H1 Keep on the Shadowfell (just last Monday) wasn't something related to suspension of disbelief. It all had to do with the party Wizard (an Eladrin) teleporting while prone to a spot underneath an inn table, whereupon she busied herself with zapping human ruffians and mercenaries while hidden and from cover (via that table). She even took some hits (opportunity attacks) on her backside once the bad guys figured where in the nine hells the scorching fire attacks were coming from. She had to make haste away from them and chose to do so by her less than heroic strategy of crawling on the inn floor to the next table. We had a good laugh at her "on the floor for the whole combat" strategy. However to her credit she killed three bad guys along the way. ;) I should also give the 4E rules credit for having rules on using the inn tables as cover (it’s in the adventure), for having rules for crawling movement and for having the ad-hoc rules chart in the DMG that let us figure out the DC and damage for kicking an inn table over a buddy (the Drow Paladin attempted to do this and the Eladrin Wizard was "in the way" by the Drow's reckoning) and into the back of a Human Mercenary who was harassing a priest of Chauntea. I didn't get to use the Kobold Victory Chart. But I will soon.

Fact: Chuck Norris can charge a cellphone just by rubbing it on his beard. Fact: While shooting a movie, Chuck Norris was bitten by a deadly Cobra - after five days of excrutiating pain, the snake finally died. And much, MUCH more. :D
