| #718DELTAMay 07, 2008 19:34:37 | which monster manuals are 3.0? and which are 3.5? -MM1 3rd Edition is well 3rd Edition. MM2 is 3rd Edition. Fiend Folio is 3rd Edition. MM1 3.5 Edition is well 3.5 Edition. MM3, MM4, MM5 are all 3.5 Edition. (There was 2 MM1 in the Edition, one for 3E, and one for 3.5E) -The Dragonlance book I really dont know. -I have never heard of the Dread Knight. -Did this help any? -Maybe this will help Dread Guard its in the Fiend Folio. Show DREAD GUARD LORE Fiend Folio (Note: In Ravenloft, the setting where these creatures originated, dread guards are called doom guards. The bardic knowledge results are Ravenloft-specific.) Characters with ranks in Knowledge (arcana) can learn more about dread guards. A character who recognizes a dread guard’s nature can make a bardic knowledge check to learn more. When a character makes a successful skill check, the following lore is revealed, including the information from lower DCs. Knowledge (arcana) DC 13: This animate suit of armor is a construct called a dread guard. This result reveals all construct traits. DC 18: Unlike most constructs, a dread guard is semi-intelligent and can proficiently wield weapons, but it remains an utterly loyal servant of its master. This result also reveals the procedure for creating dread guards. DC 23: A dread guard is resistant to cold and fire. Bardic Knowledge DC 18: Dread guards patrol the walls of Castle Avernus, home to Azalin, the wizard king of Darkon. DC 23: Azalin Rex was the original creator of dread guards, and although the secrets of their creation have since spread, he is said to know secret means of manufacturing them relatively cheaply and quickly. |
| #80danMay 07, 2008 20:03:41 | so there is a 3.5 version of all monster manuals except MM2? is there a 3.5 for FF? the dread guard wasn't what i was looking for but seems good none the less. thanks ![]() |
| #9zananMay 08, 2008 3:30:11 | There are quite a lot of useful "old" monsters on the MM II and the Fiend Folio (e.g. death dogs, orcworts, caryatid (sp?) columns et al). Both are 3.0E, but looking into 3RE stuff will make it rather easy to convert them. There is also a fully statted Death Knight in Champions of Ruin, a 3RE book, but still with 3,0E stats. Not much needs to be changed anyway ... DR 15/Bludgeoning and Magic as per lich template changes, LA +5. Maybe Diffan can verify this? |
| #10DiffanMay 08, 2008 8:19:56 | Nay, Death Knights only possess a DR 10/magic as posted from the DLCS but still is a +5 LA. |
