I normally don't go in for lore questions (if I don't know it, I just make it up) but I want to tie this one together correctly to past Realmslore so I need your help.

Dembaron is a name that came to me when I was thinking up names for Purple Dragon NPCs for my 4E game set in Cormyr. He's going to be a swordlord or higher ranking official sent to the small fortified town of Winterhaven in response to the news that the player characters slew a presumed dead member of the Rallyhorn family in the nearby ruin of Shadowfell Keep.

I'm pretty sure that Dembaron is an old name from prior Realsmlore and I can't remember where the heck I read the name first. I think it's a Cormyrean NPC, but I can't find the name in my copy of Volo's Guide to Cormyr.

Do any of you recollect this name? Ring a bell?

I remembered where I first read about the guy too: He's in AD&D 2nd Edition Player's Guide to the Forgotten Realms.
