Is there any words on the Lord's Alliance so far ? Are they still active or they have been disbanded ? The FRCG doesn't seem to have anything on them and i'd have some work for them LOL

I want to make use of them in my campaign and wanted to know if a novel or whatelse has mentioned anything on them some hundread years later....

I know Those who Harp have been greatly reduced in Power and numbers, down to a few fellow Harpers in Luruar but i don't know about the Lord's Alliance ...

So you inputs are welcomed !

Jul 07, 2010 1:36:10 Now that you mention it, I haven't seen anything about it. Maybe they disbanded after Neverwinter bit the dust? That would go a long way towards explaining why it wasn't rebuilt.

Another explanation might be that the city states that made up the alliance became the country of Luruar (That is the one centered on Silverymoon, right?), making the alliance redundent.

Jul 07, 2010 2:24:20 Id be willing to bet that theyre still around. Mostly with the 4e FRCG they focused on things that changed, so if its not mentioned as being disbanded, or reduced in power, then Id assume that theyre still there functioning pretty much the same as in the past.

Jul 07, 2010 3:58:55 Thanks Calamity and Silversword for your inputs. The fact that no words were spread on them might not mean they are disbanded, i'll buy that idea. One thing is sure, it won't stop me from using them !

The biggest good-aligned Power Group has merely a couple of lines saying what is left of them, poor Harpers. Not surprised an even less big Group was left untold of.

Taken the the Zhentarim isn't as present in the Sword Coast North as it used to be, with Llorkh in Ruin and the Black Road through the Pass and the Anorauch out of order, even though Darkhold is still occpied by the Black Network, might explain why tha Alliance is less needed. I'd still expect them to serve as Wardens between Points of Lights, guiding travelers and protecting the settlements against invading forces of Orcs, Goblins and other threats inhabiting the Savage North.

And in novels, anything has come up ?

Jul 07, 2010 8:00:11 I'm going to agree with The_Silversword on this. Although we haven't heard anything about the Lords' Alliance in 4E, the cities of the north, and particularly Waterdeep and Luruar, would have a vested interest in keeping such a network active.

That said, it probably won't look the same, the people involved would be different, and their goals are probably changed in some ways, but I'd imagine that they'd have kept it working. Having at least a good spy/information network would be of great benefit to all the cities in the North. Keeping an eye on Netheril and the Kingdom of Many Arrows would be important new tasks for the Lords' Alliance.

Sure, Luruar is a "nation" now, but if you really think about it Luruar has both Netheril and the orc kingdom on it's doorstep. And Luruar is kinda just two main cities that watch over a lot of smaller settlements over a really big area. They would certainly have their own scouts and guards periodically checking over villages, but a larger network that includes funding from Waterdeep, Neverwinter and Baldur's Gate would be helpful for everyone's security in the North.

So yeah, it's probably still around in some form. In the regions more to the south, they'd probably be more concerned about Amn. In the upper north, probably more watchful of the orcs and the Netherese.
