Apr 27, 2008 21:39:59 I'm doing the mapping for a fellow who is running a PbP game set in Ched Nasad. I was wondering if there was a pre-existing map of the city anywhere, either before or after its destruction. I'm not adverse to buying a new sourcebook if I know its going to contain what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Apr 27, 2008 23:40:29 -Drizzt Do'Urden's Guide to the Underdark, which was a 2e sourcebook, has the map of the city before it's destruction.

Apr 30, 2008 3:13:44 War of the Spider Queen II - Insurrection features the very same map, and with the Guide (who sheds quite ab it of detail on the place (if not that much)) one is decently covered. Reading WotSQ II and the opening chapter of Lady Penitent I, you should get a decent enough picture of the place during and after its demise.

Still wondering why so many high level NPCs (especially the undead and arcane casters) were not able to get away ...

Reading WotSQ II and the opening chapter of Lady Penitent I, you should get a decent enough picture of the place during and after its demise.

Probably a stretch, but the Jaezred Chaulssin could have theoretically assassinated the ones that were potentially "dangerous" to their plans. Or made deals with the rest, since they're probably male.

May 01, 2008 8:24:30 As the most current book, Lady Penitent I implies that House Teh'Kinrellz (frmr. No. 21) has assumed one major role in Ched Nasad. Of the others there is no word, though one would assume that the Jaezred Chaulssin drow-dragon (as listed in Dragons of Faerûn) is another big player, with or without Vhaeraun. Matter of fact, if it is about, it could single-handedly punch all the rest bar the old blue dragon (third player) into submission.

That is one downside of the novel series. While all is fine and well with the slaying of the drow gods, lots of what is deeply involved here remains unsaid.

-From what I recall in...Player's Guide to Faerûn (I guess), I was under the assumption that the Blue Dragon, Krashos Morume, left the city. This was the reason, again, if I am remembering things properly, he was sending his Fire Genasi servant, Rickraj (or something to that effect) back into the city- to gather lost items that were "left behind".
