| #1markustay63Aug 12, 2008 0:27:00 | I've added a map of the Vilhon Reach to my site for anyone interested. All locations are canon, but as usual, the terrain on my maps is slightly altered from the official ones. The most prominent thing is that I greatly reduced the size of the Sea of Fallen Stars (long before I knew they were doing so in 4e). For any questions, please refer to the notes beneath the map. I had decided to hurry up and finish this in time for Gencon, as per someone's special request - unfortunately it isn't all that helpful for running 4e, I would think. As soon as I know what it looks like now, I will do a 4e version. Enjoy --- Mark. |

| #3lord_karsusAug 12, 2008 12:05:26 | -Nice to see, nice to see.thanks, great map, where would you place sun elven realm of Lyrandrar in Chondalwood? -It is, specifically, "Northwest of the Adder Peaks, in the Chondalwood". That's all there is, and it isn't very specific. |
| #4markustay63Aug 12, 2008 14:47:32 | I get the feeling that it isn't all in one spot, but rather spread around several dozen smaller setlements around those woods, and perhaps the local Coronal (king) moves his court around from village to village (all in the trees, protected from the ground and well-hidden). Nothing specific I can point to as a source - just a general feeling I get from all the vague references, and also because this is how most wodd Elves act (in the Forest of Tethir (the one humans call Wealdath), they are spread-out as well, but the High King there has a set place in which he holds court. I say 'High King', because that King is owed fealty by at least two other nearby forest kings (Dating back to the old days of Keltormir, when it was all one, big forest). Sorry for the brief history lesson - I just wanted to get across that Sylvan Elves don't tend to huddle together in large settlements as do most other Elves and races. |

| #6quale_Aug 12, 2008 14:56:42 | yea, but they aren't syvan elves, they're sun elves Northwest of Adder Peaks, then they're out of the map |
| #7lord_karsusAug 12, 2008 16:04:14 | yea, but they aren't syvan elves, they're sun elves -Admittedly, very barbaric Sun Elves. Hunting with spears and blow guns and such, with very little magic. They are more akin to barbaric and feral Wood Elves more than mainstream Sun Elves. |
| #8rinonalyrna_fathomlinAug 12, 2008 18:42:11 | Nice map, as usual.![]() |
| #9markustay63Aug 13, 2008 0:14:49 | Barbarian Sun Elves? ![]() Just not seeing it - even if it is canon. |
| #10lord_karsusAug 13, 2008 11:48:59 | Barbarian Sun Elves? -Basically, it's the same as the Green Elves who are, in RoF, called "Wild Elves". They are the same as the other Elves of their subrace, physically, but are different, socially. -The Sun Elves of Lyrandrar would be "Wild" Sun Elves. They have the physical look of a Sun Elf, but the society of a "Wild" Elf. Low magic, somewhat primitive. |
