Curiosity questions: Are there any maps of the world of Abeir? Before the Spellplague? After? Will there be?

-Markus has made a nice map of Returned "Abeir", that can be found in the maps link.

-Other than that, you're out of luck, sorry. Maybe as more online DRAGON articles relating to the Forgotten Realms get pumped out, something relevant will pop up, but until then, it's all up to you.

As I said, it was just curiosity.

P.S. I'm also a map collector. Another reason of my curiosity.

-Since MT hasn't been on in like two days, I'll drop his usual plug of how nothing in 4e is canon, since it's all up to the DM, and as such, anything that you envision is the canon "Abeir" map. Or something like that. :P

In addition to what's in the FRCG, you might want to check out these Dragon articles:

"Gontal" by Bruce R. Cordell and Ed Greenwood. Dragon 366 (August 2008): 50-52. 3 pages.

"Backdrop: Tarmalune: by Ed Greenwood. Dragon 372 (February 2009): 46-59. 14 pages.

"Gontal: Dominions of Nehu" by Bruce Cordell. Dragon 375 (May 2009): 62-69. 8 pages.

Cheers,

Christopher

A good place to start would be the map of page 6 of the Grand History of the Realms. When Abeir and Toril were twinned into parallel dimensions, each planet looked identical in terms of geography. So unless Abeir suffered a significant geological event like the Sundering it would have remained much like the image on this map until the time of the Spellplague.
