Hello all,
One of my players wants to create a wizard with the school of Necromancy and want to take the background Acolyte. We are looking for a god for his character and I thought of Myrkul. Is it possible that the Lord of Bones returned to the Realms? (He is in appendix B of the new player’s handbook)
What happen to the late god of Dead in the last 100 years?

A cult of Myrkul...interesting... I always like the three gods: Myrkul, Bhaal and Bane (I never really like Kelemvor and Cyric). To use them again I find that...interesting.
Anyone as an ideas for some encounters, background or campaign arc I could use?
The crown of horns is in the Deities and Demigods supplement for 3rd edition.

Elton, I found the rules for the Crown of Horns in Magic of Faerûn (page 171). Whats the page of Deities and Demigod, can I find the Crown of Horns?
Faiths and Pantheons, it's a Prestige class dealing with the Crown of Horns. Page 197, Horn Harbinger. Just give the Chosen of Myrkul the full range of the PRC's powers or something thereof.

I would also recommend looking at the Eye of Myrkul adventure in Dungeon 73. This is the fifth - and best - adventure in the Mere of Dead Men Series, Dungeon's first adventure path. While part of Myrkul's consciousness resides in the Crown of Horns - for more on the crown, you might also want to check out Volo's Guide to All Things Magical and Monstrous Compendium Annual Volume 4 under shadowrath - some of his remains fell on the Mere of Dead Men. Personally, if I was looking to run a cult of Myrkul, I would make this the headquarters. Also, the author of Eye of Myrkul wrote that adventure, in part, to inspire a possible sequel or sequels involving the return of Myrkul. That could be your campaign arc....

Guys do you know were I could buy or find the Mere of Dead Men series? Particularly, the Eye of Myrkul adventure.
A Chosen of Myrkul is mentioned in Troy Denning's The Sentinel, and I am not speaking of Malik but another Character, who herds undead within Sadrach's Castle floating over the Underchasm. Beyond that there was little mentioned about the Myrkul's intentions or occupation for the past one hundred years. This also gets into a heavy climactic spoiler area in the story so I hesitate to say much more other than that about it but it is worth bring it up.
