Well, as the title said, I need a character. I love rangers and rogues, so it would probably be one of them. I want to play an Archer build elven ranger that is an explorer, roaming the world exploring ancient ruins and uncharted jungles, but I don't know if that would fit the games going on. I would also like to play a Halfling rogue, a happy go lucky swashbuckling character. Help!

why not just play a drow TWF ranger? your name implies you like the

Especially since the coolest drow ever are all obviously clones of him (or not, since all the really cool drow are ARCANE SPELLCASTERS!)

Seriously though: play what you want. How are we supposed to know what everyone else is playing if you dont?

-Well, pick one: Elf or Halfling. Before we can start suggesting character themes and such, you'll need to pick one of the other as the base to begin with.

Hmmm.... Well, this doesn't really belong here, as this about what motivates a character - something Living campaigns are notoriously lacking. My advice is to pay attention to your Regional Co-ordinators, if they're anything like mine, and have SEVERAL characters. LFR is all about playing what you want - don't worry about what campaign needs.

That being said, you can never have enough Defenders or Leaders.

This really should be here: http://forums.gleemax.com/forumdisplay.php?f=692

Here's an idea: A halfling ranger who dual-wields daggers. At some point take the Sneak of Shadows feat and go into the Daggermaster Rogue Paragon Path.

Just because I enjoy the Drizzt books doesn't mean I create Drizzt clones! Really, did you read my signature? Or are you that stereotypacal?

thanks for the ideas, and sorry, I'm not sure why I posted this here. But, I'm going with the Elf Ranger, and keeping the archer build. I do want to have fair melee capability still, so I'll get a few powers that could be used for both, and use the Shortsword and the Longbow.

I'm going to take Careful Attack, as I want him to be a kind of sniper. I will probably use Twin Strike as my other one, just in case the enemy gets up to close and I just have to just start raining fire on them.

Two-fanged Strike will be my encounter...sorry for this waste of space, it seems like I have my character pretty well figured out. Sorry for the trouble.

I did read your sig. You obviously didn't read my response.

Your sig claims that all good drow are Drizzt clones. I'm saying Drizzt is stupid and all the best drow (Gromph and Liriel Banre and Pharaun Mizzrym) are arcane spellcasters and therefore obviously NOT Drizzt clones.

and it's stereotypical.
