| #1elrikdarkstormAug 28, 2008 22:16:07 | Hey there fellows I am starting a new campaign using 2nd edition rules,i have never ran a group in the realms before,i have mostly games in the worlds of greyhawk and dragonlance,i am pretty familar with the realms from reading the novels and the core books,i am starting the group(7/7 he ranger/mage,7/6 he knight/cleric ,5th lvl elven thief,4 lvl human cleric,4th lvl dwarven fighter,7/5 he mage/thief) out with the module the accursed tower that i beefed up a bit, this is the first time this group has played together so that is why i am using a low level module,i just need some help on which modules i should use after this one that would fir in well in the area of the north, sword coast and the silver marches,i know that the group will be traveling to vaasa/damara region later on in the campaign, but that wont be for atleast 4 or 5 more modules. I could use any ideas that anyone comes up with.thank you all in advance for your help. piece Elrik |
| #2merrikcaleAug 28, 2008 22:18:41 | do you want 2e modules only or are you willing to convert do you want FR modules only or are you willing to adapt them to the setting |
| #3lord_karsusAug 28, 2008 22:43:21 | -There's a bunch of adventures that take place in the Vaasa/Damara region. but I'm not sure if they're 1e, or 2e. |

| #6lord_karsusAug 28, 2008 23:11:05 | they can be any edition,i dont really care,i can convert them over,i really just want the story lines ya know, thank you all for the quick responses -In that case, the Bloodstone Lands adventures (Bloodstone Pass, Bloodstone Wars) will be of use. |
| #7Mr_MiscellanyAug 29, 2008 0:44:24 | The Curse of the Azure Bonds AD&D adventure is one of the best 2nd Edition Forgotten Realms adventures I've ever played in. I highly recommend it if you can get your hands on a paper copy or .pdf file. |
| #8merrikcaleAug 29, 2008 11:47:02 | -In that case, the Bloodstone Lands adventures (Bloodstone Pass, Bloodstone Wars) will be of use. Very much. I know they are expensive on places like ebay though. |
| #9lord_karsusAug 29, 2008 13:08:38 | Very much. I know they are expensive on places like ebay though. -Really? Well, in that case, they can be downloaded via PDF for $4, from places like Paizo.com, RPGNow.com, NobleKnight.com... |
| #10elrikdarkstormSep 02, 2008 19:45:22 | Hey guys Thanks for all the ideas,i have a few more questions though.1) Have any of you played or DM'd the "horror on the hill " module or the return to the keep on the borderlands.2) Since i am going to be finishing an adventure(the acursed tower) that takes place from Luskan to the Icewind Dale area, where would be a good area for these two modules to take place.3)Does anyone know offhand or where i can find the 2nd edition stats for Rai Guy,Kimmurial and the stats for Bregan D`earthe. And the last question that i can remember to ask is what are some good low level 2nd edition Forgotten Realms adventure modules,i need them to be 2nd edition cuz i am not going to have the time to convert them. One more thing arent the Bloodstone land adventures for high level characters. And yes Ebay can cost you alot of cash if you dont find the right deal, one adventure i got on there cost me 34 bucks, but another one cost me 6 dollars,it is really hit or miss,i just try to buy the pdf's from piazo, but i prefer to own the real thing though.but something is better than nothing. Thank you all so much in advance, you guys are the best.I dont know what i would do with out you all. Oh yeah this is for 18delta,is that your name from your M.O.S.?just curious Piece out Elrik D |
| #11lord_karsusSep 02, 2008 23:48:24 | -Information on Bregan D'aerthe can be found forthcoming in Elves of Faerûn. Once I complete the Elven Chronology, I am going to be producing a few articles on Elven Organizations, and the Bregan D'aerthe article, I already began, and will be completing once and for all. |
| #12merrikcaleSep 03, 2008 22:20:43 | -Information on Bregan D'aerthe can be found forthcoming in Elves of Faerûn. the what? |
| #13lord_karsusSep 03, 2008 22:41:34 | -It's like the Bible, cooler. Trust me. -No offense, religious people. |
| #14elrikdarkstormSep 07, 2008 18:33:26 | I hope that it is better that the 4e FR campaign guide, which is the biggest piece of crap i own,the info in there is very lacking the 3e one was a hundred times better,i am so disapointed in it |
| #15lord_karsusSep 08, 2008 9:53:51 | Oh yeah this is for 18delta,is that your name from your M.O.S.?just curious -He is/was in the army, so... | #17lord_karsusSep 08, 2008 21:19:46 | I am looking forward to the Elves of Fareun book,Is there a date yet for when it shall be released yet? -One day, if we're all lucky. There's a lot of material to cover, and I have very little help. I'm about, I'd estimate, about 10-20% done, though. A conservative guess. And where in BK are you? -I'm actually in S.I. now. Was in Gravesend/Bensonhurst and Bay Ridge, though. |
