| #1poorknight1_dupFeb 11, 2009 0:09:35 | Apologies if there is a raging thread on the subject buried somewhere that I was unable to find. I do my best to search before smothering the good people of the board with my wants and needs... That said... I am trying to find out if there is a good printed resource for the Netherese language and/or Netherese words in general? Many thanks in advance my dear sirs as well as those of the female persuasion. -Gavrin |

| #7borrisFeb 24, 2009 0:52:25 | Only the people of the City of Shade (once a high Netherese city, hidden on the Plane of Shadow when the empire fell -litterally- and only recently back above Faerûn) still speak ancient Loross. Low Netherese is still spoken by a few of the Bedine nomads who live in the Anauroch desert. Most common folks of the Netherese empire used to live there, long before it became a desert, and many Bedine have Netherese survivors here and there in their family tree nowadays. I'm told that Netherese is also a precursor of the Halruaan language now spoken in Halruaa and Nimbral. |
