| #1alrunic_silverfyreAug 31, 2008 17:34:54 | Well, I've been running the same FR campaign for 10 years now, same group, same people, same Realms. With the advent of 4th edition, the players and I decided to give it a fair chance and see how it played out. Of course, after just a week of 4th edition play, we decided to stay with the 3.5 version of the rules. It just doesn't fit us and I'll leave the discussion there. Now, what I wanted to post about is our reaction to the new edition of the Realms. There are some ideas we are going to be using, such as the general timeline and the deities, but we have made some changes to said items to fit our campaign world in a manner that we enjoy. This is a whole other post so I'll keep this on track. So, with the new list of 4th edition Realms deities, I had a question regarding some of them in previous source material and opinions on what cleric domains these deities would grant their worshipers. The ones I am asking about in particular are as follows: Fzoul Zehir Bazim-Gorag Hruggek Maglubiyet Vaprak If you all would be kind enough to point me to a list of these deities' cleric domains from previous source material and/or feel like throwing out some ideas as to what domains they would grant their clerics, I'd greatly appreciate it. |

Zehir only appeared in 4th edition, and probably oughtn't be in FR at all. The closest would probably be Set, or maybe one of the other yuan-ti gods mentioned in Serpent Kingdoms, like Sseth or Varae. Bazim-Gorag is/was not technically a god, but a Slaad Lord (powerful planar rulers tend to be treated much like gods anyway; the distinction is fine). You might give him Chaos, Evil, Fire as domains, for starters. He gets a write-up in Champions Of Ruin. Hruggek, Maglubiyet and Vaprak get detailed in the back of Faiths & Pantheons, and Complete Divine. Well, the 3.x details for domains and alignments. You'd need to go back to 2nd edition supplements for more info, like Monster Mythology. |
