I was thinking that was kinda cool, but then another time I thought the names were different and now I'm not sure. Then I also couldn't remember whether it was that bloodline or the Illythiri(sp?) that got magicked. Just confused and curious. |

It is unlikely that any Miyeritar dark elf had anything to do with Myth Drannor. The former realm of dark and "green" elves was blasted out of existence by the high elven magic of the suns of Aryvandaar in -10,500 D.R., ending most bloodlines living there. It caused a vicious backlash of the other prominent dark elven nation at the time, Ilythiir. This resulted in the high magic ritual which forced all dark elves, whether Ilyithiiri or Miyertari or whomever were there at the time, to flee from the surface into the Underdark, where they eventually became drow. That was in -10,000 D.R., the event being called "The Descent". The realm of Cormanthyr was created much later, the city of Cormanthor (later & now Myth Drannor) founded in -3,983 D.R., a city of moon, wood and sun elves at the time, no dark elf in sight. The names may have an elven ring to them, but that is where relations end. You would be surprised how elven some of the human names of the earlier FR novels sound, especially those of Ed Greenwood. Obviously, some names of old are even closer related to one another. One also has to consider that the realms of Miyeritar (High Moor) as well as Ilythiir (Shaar) lay far to the south and the west of Cormanthor too. Never saying never, but ancient dark elven blood lines are hardly likely in modern day Myth Drannor people - apart from some drow who indeed hail from these western lands before relocating (Jaelre, Auzkovyn) to the east. In any case, you can get much of the ancient lore on the elves of Faerûn by having a look at the elven timeline in Cormanthyr - Empire of Elves hereabout. |

Before her, the Coronal was Eltargrim Irithyl. His niece Aravae Irithyl was to become the Coronal of Myth Drannor, but she met an unfortunate and untimely end. -No relationship to each other, or to Ilythiir. |
