Feel free to add up other businesses that have never been mentioned in any sourcebook for the simple reason you people werent there writing them ;)

*Elven Crystalcrafters (really Grell crystal), now in new exiting colors: the ever popular green, blue, red, purple and a experimential rainbow one. And many more, infact, we invent hundreds of new colors every day! Come buy the fanciest chandeliers, glasses even cultlery and plates. Anything you can imagine, well make it for you. All very durable.
We even make whole buildings, only by special order. You are all welcome to admire the new Thann gazebo made out of PINK crystal.
Be the first to buy a crystal wagon, black, pink or perhaps clear? Drawn by a permanent mount spell, a especially ordered enchantment from the Magisters guild. Or just regular horsies.

*Blibdoolpoolps Blessing
A feasthall offering everything from drinking, great company to eating and gambling. But the real price is underground pools, with genuine underdark artifacts from monsterlairs (kuo-toan and aboleth wall ornaments transported wholesale, statues and the like). Tended by the most discrete and skilled women to keep you company while enjoying drinks, song, dance or other games in the pools.
There are even private rooms that can be made to fulfill your every desire (illusions ala holodeck). After a refreshing evening of women, wine and luck in games, you can withdraw to our luxurious upperstore suites that are especially warded from the rowdyness downfloors.

*Beauty Shoppe
Youth and charm, all yours for a mere pittance.
More specifically:
Makeup and grooming, +2 on social interactions, +4 vs opposite gender at 100gp, lasts 2d4 days.
Up to +10 on cha (but similar penalty on wisdom), lasts 24h. Sometimes offered for free just to make the customer.. shall we say, more receptive :D
Youth (lasts 24h), back to your prime, perhaps for that diamond wedding you can enjoy your youth again? Cost 2000gp (please pre-order)
Health, basically extended and empowered bulls strength and such.. standard spellcasting prices.
Rumored to offer a permanent +1 to cha via surgery (once only), at 5000gp and other.. shall we say, special services by a xixcil especially senstised to humanoid needs.

*Dee Oncles Oldee Monstershoppee, (DOOM! :D)
Anything deepspawn can produce, live beasts.. stuffed beasts or just plain parts. Like perhaps dragonscale armor or a dragonbone bow. All available without the hassle of needing to kill any beasts. Or perhaps you want sparring partners you can safely kill in the arena, say a hydra?
Special: Exotic meats! Come ask, or order. DOOM will deliver.

*Waterdeeps First Fertility Clinic
A modified deepspawn can with a bit material from the mother and father, produce a immature offspring as if they had mated. This can even offer offspring to otherwise incompatible partners, within reasons anyway. All you need is the two sets of blood, hair etc material.
The xixchil in the beauty shoppe is rumored to be researching a symbiont of the deepspawns spawning ability so anyone can enjoy the great fertility of deepspawns.

Damn. Well, my apologies to all--especially--ikki, if things turned that way. I was simply trying to give NoPity some room to reestablish himself.

Maybe he got hostile?

I don't get you bro, this is the 3rd time you are misunderstanding me lol. I did not understand the thread so I tried to joke around with what I did understand, and none of what I said had the intent to push anyone down.

-There is a very nice map of Waterdeep that might be useful, that can be downloaded at The Realms Vault.

why not link it?

Cause we already have an active thread for it. And as active as you are, I'm surprised you haven't stumbled upon it. Just look for the Waterdeep Map thread and you'll find it.

The Passing Fancy

This slightly run down shop in Dock Ward is located on the second level of a three story building (the bottom level currently unoccupied and the top level acting as residence for the shop owner).

The Passing Fancy caters to all sorts of fashion trends that have been left in the wake of newer, more popular trends. It is tended by Mirjala Thentraver ([3.5 quck stats]Female Chondathan Sorcerer 6), a full bodied woman known for her interest in the doings of common folk, her ready ear and wise advice for young maidens, her intense and passionate voice and most of all for her keen eyed skill at identifying clothing by its maker, its popularity or by whom has purchased a style the most.

Mirjala's business does not rake in more coin than it takes to pay her rent, though that has as much to do with her low rates and the product she sells (cast off gowns worn by much more well to do Whaterdavian ladies, for example) as it does her clientele, who often include actors and would-be impersonators in addition to the more common low-coin lasses looking to catch the eye of a nobleman (as no true lady with coin would be seen in such a place).

By agreement with her landlord, the ground level of the building she occupies remains unused. Many assume a simple lack of suitable business to share space and draw like-minded customers, but the truth is more sinister.

Late at night and sometimes in the early morning, dark figures can be glimpsed moving about behind the shuttered windows on the ground level, their shadows cast against the opaque glass by a dim light sources of some kind.

These figures are operatives in the hire of Elaith Craulnober. Skilled in various types of scrying and enchanting magic, these men and women make it their business to carefully weave subtle enchantments into the wares sold by Mirjala, who then “finds” suitable buyers by means of her own magic, connections and force of personality.

When worn, these garments allow Elaith and his operatives to impose subltle suggestion-like effects upon any garment wearer, as well as scry upon and track a garment wearer. In numbers greater than three and in close proximity (any three or more wearers within 60 feet of each other), Elaith or someone of his choosing is able to scry the entire area all the wearers occupy simultaneously and bypass most common scrying defenses (such as sigils and the like).

Additionally Elaith may choose to ignore common scrying prohibitions when three or more wearers are in close proximity. Thus he can use detect magic, detect evil, etc. with a 100% chance of success while scrying.

When asked, Mirjala confidently brushes aside questions about “...what goes on down below?” with a confident smile, insisting such are the result of endless gossiping by ale-sodded dolts and gossip mongers.

Mirjala is quick to pay half-market price for used gowns and other recently trendy clothing and eagerly pursues her contacts in the guilds for cast offs and word of the latest trends in Whaterdhavian fashion and clothing.

While outwardly friendly, Mirjala is selfish and secretive at heart. Thus, Mirjala is quick to make associates (modern world equivalent would be "contacts") but keeps less than a handful of true friends.

I particularly like the crystal crafters; it fits well within Waterdeep and very imaginative. The beauty shop I like (although the game stat bonuses, not so much) -- a similar concept was done in Living City back (in the 90s). The Passing Fancy is very nice and consistent with Waterdeep.

There's a Psion in my group that'll run into the Elven Crystalcrafters shop soon. I like that one a lot.
