| #1Dark_AnsemNov 15, 2012 5:06:49 | First of all, is this the right section where to ask such a question? secondly, if that is correct, I'd like your help in converting some characters of previous D&D editions/games to 3.5. I know 4 is out and 5 is on the way but until 5 is out I'd rather stick with 3.5. The characters are: Jon Irenicus (Baldurs Gate II) Standard Cowled Wizard (Baldur's Gate II) Leader Cowled Wizard (Baldur's Gate II) The Transcendent One (Planescape Torment) Ravel Puzzlewell (Planescape Torment) Trias the Betrayer (Planescape Torment) Trigit (Planescape Torment) True Shadow (Planescape Torment) (hmm, I think I will post those in the Planescape section...) can someone help? I doubt they have ever been done. EDIT: some items could use a conversion as well.. |

I saw a thread specifically on Jon Irenecus once: community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/758... From my udnerstanding, he is a 29th level Wizard in 2nd edition (that's all I know). As for the Cowled Wizards, you won't find much information about them in 3.5 books, which is unfortunate given that they are one of my favourite organizations. |

Some things don't quite make sense lol, but it gives you an idea where to start I suppose. | #4Dark_AnsemNov 15, 2012 13:23:37 | thanks :D I wonder where to start... EDIT: in Lands of Intrigue there are Cowled wizards examples, those could be used? |
| #5Dark_AnsemNov 15, 2012 14:14:16 | this is the IE version. 2nd edition- about cowled wizards: they are in the Lands of intrigue sourcebook, perhaps one can start from there? |
| #6GwathirNov 16, 2012 9:10:20 | Given that later editions practically seem to ignore of their existence, I think it would be a good place to start, yes. |
| #7Dark_AnsemNov 28, 2012 4:11:17 | what about stats of Amunantor? |
| #8GwathirNov 28, 2012 12:00:55 | The God!? Good grief, what sort of crazy epic campaign are you running? LOL Anyways, given that Lathander is the 'aspect' of the god, I would use his stats which can be found on page 37 of the 3.5 Faith and Pantheons book (www.amazon.com/Pantheons-Dungeons-Dragon...) - - - - Actually I recall a quest in BG2 where you explore the ruins of a forgotten ruined temple of the god. Nice place to explore. Given that the Baldur's Gate games are pretty much the greatest RPGs ever (in my opinion), there is all sorts of nostalgia linked to this. Have a blast DMing it (I know I would), and don't screw it up because the BG ghosts will haunt you lol. Extremely fitting for WOTC to make their first 'Sundering' adventure in.... BALDUR'S GATE, man I don't care if the adventure sucks, 64 pages on one of the most loved Forgotten Realms's cities is worth it for me. www.amazon.com/Storm-Over-Baldurs-Gate-S... And a DM screen just for the city? How cool is that? Man, why couldn't they think of stuff like this for 4E? I mean they did release Neverwinter (and yes the themes are awesome) but by then I think tons of their fans had already started to give up on the franchise and move on to 3.5/Pathfinder. cheers, |
| #9Dark_AnsemNov 30, 2012 4:32:22 | there was a thread here that had all stats of gods, but it's been archived and I cannot find it anymore. |
