Novels to read to explain the 4e Change

Jul 04, 2008 9:43:03 I have been out of the DnD/FR loop and reading up on things for a couple of years. I was wondering if anyone could give me a list of Forgotten Realms books I can read to explain the events and what happens to the FR to make it into 4e.
Also, how or why did they advance everything in the Realms 100 years.

Jul 04, 2008 9:50:47 The Orc King has the first and last chapter explain many of the changes. Swordmage also occurs entirely in the 4E Realms era. The last two pages of Grand History of the Realms also lists some of the changes.

Jul 04, 2008 14:30:35 -It's not a novel, but buy A Grand History of the Realms. It's a chronology from -35,000 DR to ten years into the future, 1385 DR.
