Oh....they were just saints all along...or just aspects of the greater deity...

I have a feeling that many of the gods will be said to have always been just saints of the major gods; still worse, I fear that many of the lesser gods will be restrospectively relegated to 'aspects' of greater gods and had been mistakenly thought of as separate deities; some examples.

Auril> aspect of Talos

Deneir> aspect of Oghma

Liira> aspect of Sune

Loviator> aspect of Bane

Talona> aspect of Shar

And why not? Grummsh was always just Talos in disguise, right?

Maybe just another crackpot theory....but given the current trends, who knows?

-Well I do know that in Richard Baker's new novel Swordmage that
Show
Amuator(sp) has supplanted Lathander. The God is in his day time aspect. The new faith respects the old faith. Its was starting to be forshadowed in 3.5.

Loviator> aspect of Bane

Why? What would make anyone think this was a good idea? Loviator is far more kick ass then Bane could ever be. Not only that, but she's Ilmater's lover! Okay, maybe I'm the only one crazy enough to see Ilmater and Loviator together, but atleast when 4.0 comes up, there should be no reason why Ilmater and Loviator shouldn't come out as being lovers. They're a perfect couple!

You mean bickering, b...hing and having nearly nothing altogether as far as worldview is concerned? Perfect isn't quite the word that comes to mind. I can give you "usual" though

As for Loviatar and Bane... tell me you didn't write that that. Loviatar may be snazzy, but when Big B kicks an ass, it stays kicked.

I don't know... Ilmater loves pain, alittle to much, and Loviatar loves to dish it out. Sounds like true love to me. :P

Why yes, yes I did write that. Granted, that could have something to do with the Avatar series, and Bane wasn't really that "awesome" of a deity... Now Mask on the other hand...

Also, remember that there are going to be greater gods, lesser gods, and exachs. It's not like every god that isn't a greater god is going to wind up as an exarch.

I don't remember where it was said, but if I remember right there's going to be about 15-20 Greater Gods, 15-20 Lesser Gods, and the rest will be Demigods/Exarchs.

And knowing my luck, not only will Hoar be a Demigod/Exarch, which is what he was in 3.x anyway, but he'll also being under Shar's thumb. Lord will I be ticked if it turns out that way...

Here's the post. "We think there are about 15-20 greater gods, a like number of lesser gods, and the rest of the figures in the pantheon are probably demigods."

Oh, don't even mention that ! We had this thing going where she was supposed to pretend to seduce a knight, to test his virtue. She wasn't supposed to go all the way, though. She'd try to seduce him, and if he gave in, she was supposed to come up with some excuse not to consummate things. Then I'd cut off his head.

Least that's how things were SUPPOSED to work, until the last time. That guzzling disease ridden ! And you know what burns me? Despite that, the judge STILL gave her 50% of all my property, along with alimony, too. WHAT... THE... HELL?!?

Then again, rereading about it, I think Hoar already dealt with the problem. It started off with them trying to trick the knight, and then kill him. Yet it blew up in GreenKnight's face... Yeah, I think I'd call that Poetic.

Actually, I think we were doing Hoar's work, here. The only ones who got decapitated were the ones who weren't as virtuous as they made out to be. Essentially it was a glorified medieval sting operation. The knights who were virtuous, however, were spared, and learned a little something about themselves in the process. It was wholly beneficial... unless they turned out to be scumbags, in which case they got their heads chopped off.

Two words for you Greenknight.
