| #1TheriseDec 20, 2009 16:57:36 | Just wondering about this... I looked at the "last page" of threads in this forum (most threads are 2 yrs old or more), and many of the topics have zero posts. Yet I absolutely remember some of those threads as having posts, like the "What's the real world equivalent of Zzar" thread. But even the original post seems to be empty now, and opening the thread it states "no posts." Are those older threads being deleted for space, or archived, or is this some error specific only to my browser? It'd be a shame if those old threads are being deleted without archiving, as you wouldn't be able to search posts from designers, for example. Hopefully this is just a browser error, or something else going wrong on my side? Can anyone see those old posts? |
| #2Mr_MiscellanyDec 20, 2009 17:58:15 | You might want to cross-post this to the Community Business forum. You're far more likely to get a helpful response there. |
| #318DELTADec 20, 2009 18:13:53 | I don't think these forums have archives anymore. Alot of these threads are in all of the forums. Its weird there will be 2 threads on Erevis Cales stats, but only one will have posts in it. I call them ghost threads. All of the locked threads, became unlocked.![]() |

| #5TheriseDec 20, 2009 19:27:36 | So in that last couple of pages of threads, where I see "0 posts" for every topic... is anyone else seeing the same thing? I know many of those threads had posts in them at one time, because I read those threads. If it's just my browser, or some local error, then I don't need to post it to the community thread. |

I dont know what the deal is there, it happened with they changed the forums, the threads made it over but not the posts. No clue why that is. |
| #7AegeriDec 20, 2009 22:28:31 | Due to some issues with things like formatting, a lot of posts got wholesale deleted during the change over. It's unfortunate but it was one of the casualties of the change. |
| #818DELTADec 21, 2009 0:02:24 | This is actually old news. I remember discussing this in august, after the change over. Alot of threads got duplicated on differant boards. The thread on the board it was originally on still has posts in it, the duplicate threads are phantom threads. Should be great spam foder. J/K. I do agree with Mr.M that this and the other thread should be in the community business forum. Its the appropriate place for this disscussion. Thats all I have to say in this thread. Have fun guys.![]() |

| #10TheriseDec 21, 2009 10:46:28 | Man, that's a drag... a lot of good threads will be gone forever. |
| #11Mr_MiscellanyDec 21, 2009 15:55:27 | Maybe it's just an urban legend, but wasn't there some sort of initiative to catalog the internet (or parts of it) over time? Sort of like a living record of how pages change? I'd look it up, but I don't want google to laugh at me. |
| #12The_SilverswordDec 21, 2009 21:45:32 | I have been saving some things to MS Word, if a good topic comes up, and theres a lot of good info in there, I'll ussually save it, just incase. Of course i only recently started doing this, so i dont have anything from the older threads saved unfortunatly. |

Sort of like a living record of how pages change? Things like google cache and the way back machine and such forth. I don't remember if those sites still work anymore though. |
| #14creyzi4zb12Dec 23, 2009 7:57:49 | I wonder what happened to that Orc orc orc orc orc orc thread? I kinda liked the info. feeded on that one...can't seem to find it on the search button. And why is it closed. |
| #1518DELTADec 23, 2009 8:40:24 | Spamfest. |
| #16ORC_IchorDec 26, 2009 11:20:16 | This thread has been closed due to a VCL request. |
