Hi Folks,

I've been away from D&D since the height of the 3.5 days.  But with 5th edition I am returning and planning a new campaign.  The campaign requires a feudal system and I don't want to really mess with the existing powers that are well documented in Faerun because I want my players to be able to visit them down the road or even call upon those powers later in this campaign.

So, my question is, which lands in the world are less described by campaign materials, books, games, etc. where I could set my campaign without too much earth scorching what is there?

Thanks for the help!

Maybe the area east of Thay and Rashomen, deep into the Endless Wastes?

The Vilhon Reach was blasted by the 4e Spellplague and can be an open frontier area for a 5e pioneer "start from scratch" campaign.  Only one of the cities in the area survived, and it turned into a shallow mockery of its former self.

You are near Cormyr, Unther, Calimshan, Tethyr, and Amn.  The Sword Coast is not horribly far away, close enough that people being plundered by the Cult of the Dragon might want to move.
