After learning about the existance of the old empire of Narfel. 0) Some sort story of Narfel and the opposite Empire??? Do they apear in novels??? 1) Did they ever apeard in the Realms??? (Not just 100-200 but whole armies of them) 2) Which Deities are more likely to be in the middle of the conflict??? 3) Summon or Call an outsider??? Souldn't the Calling be ritualistic( not 'Fssssst .... poooof' oh a demon just apeard). 4) Could I persuade an outsider to do my dirty work in exchange for some human souls with planar binding?? How sould I deliver the souls to the devil/angel/demon??? What other goodies/favors might persuade an outsider to work for you??? P.S: Once more to many quesions, I know, but I can't help it :P |

They took each other out in a decade long cataclysm, that started in -160 DR (Year of the Stone Giant), involving summoned demon lords and the avatar of Kossuth. I dont beleve they focused on those battles in any of the novels. Grand History of the Realms would be a good one to check out for more information on the Great Conflagration, as it was called, and other importants events. 1) Yeah they appread in the Realms, youre talking about demons right? Nar summoned lots n lots of demons, so yeah they probably had armies of em at their command. 2) IM not sure if any deities were involved in the conflict, the Nars worshipped demons & devils, and didnt care about the gods at all, Asmodeus might had some interest in the war, but he wasnt actually a god at the time. The Raumathari where into elemental magics so they were probably big into the Elemental Lords, but I dont think any of them cared about the war one way or another, Kossuth ended up taking out both sides when the Raumathar summoned him. Mystra might of had something to do with it, being that magic was involved on bothe sides, maybe she found the wars usefull, as it was causing new spells to be develeped. 3) Yeah it was a ritual, the Nars had summoning chambers that theyd use to perform the ceremony. 4) I bet you could, but you know that theyre liars right? so of course theyre gonna say oh yeah ill kill joe for you just give me the souls, and then turn around and eat you. so yeah youd have to have some kind of binding on there. Sould could be delievered a number of ways, I mean you could just kill them cause then theyd just got to the Fugue Plane to be picked up by agents of Kelemvor, so youd have to suck his soul out and store it in a gem or something or maybe trick them into making a pact with the demon/devil/whatever. Im not sure what else an outsider would want, most seem to be all about souls, they dont seem to be interested in gold or gems. I dunno, maybe the blood of the innocent, or a rare body part, I guess it would depend on what you summoned, A fire elemental might want some coal or something? |
