I noticed that the Warlock Knights of Vasaa allude to a Warlock Pact dedicated to the Voice of Telos. I'm working on a campaign using these bad boys, and though the FRCG gives stats for adversary Warlock Knights, there's no Warlock Pact or Paragon Path for them. I thought about making a Paragon Path, but again, like I said, it seems to be more indicating an actual Warlock Pact than a Paragon Path. So I was hoping some of you class-crafters might be up to the challenge. I'd appreciate any help you could give here. Thanks.

I'm not very big on the novels; what sorts of things to they do? Is there another pact that fits pretty well? Infernal, maybe? The FR-introduced dark pact?

I'm betting the Dark Pact is similar, but that's Drow oriented. The adversaries noted in the FRCG shows the type of powers they have based on type.

The Executor is an unlanded knight (skirmisher). Lv 9
Executor
m Ironfell Dagger (standard; at-will) ✦ Radiant, Weapon
+15 vs. AC; 1d4 + 6 damage plus 4 radiant damage.
r Ironfell Shuriken (standard; at-will) ✦ Radiant, Weapon
Ranged 6/12; +14 vs. AC; 1d6 + 6 damage plus 1d4 radiant
damage.
Shard Star Warrior (standard; at-will) ✦ Radiant, Weapon
The executor makes two basic attacks (melee or ranged).
R Iron Sky Starfall (standard; encounter) ✦ Radiant
Ranged 10; +12 vs. Will; 1d6 + 4 radiant damage, and the
target is dazed until the end of the executor’s next turn.
Dark One’s Own Luck (free, when the executor makes an attack
roll, saving throw, ability check, or skill check; daily)
The executor rerolls and uses the better of the two results.
Combat Advantage
An executor deals an extra 2d6 damage on melee and ranged
attacks against any target he or she has combat advantage
against.

Well, as far as the Dark Pact goes, it does seem to be fairly open-ended. They definitely float the opossibility of "dark gods" as a source of the pact; seems like that might fit the knights pretty well. As far as domination powers, you should be able to mix in a few Fey powers, to taste: after all, having a given don't require warlocks to stick to that pact for power choices.

True, but I'd really like something more specific if there's any chance I can get one.

Sure, but the Pacts *do* try pretty hard to be fairly general. Each one as fairly specific fluff, but they try pretty hard to leave the particulars up to each individual. "Bought, borrowed or stolen from otherworldly horrors/fey or natural powers/demonic forces/Dark Gods or entities" each seem to leave an awful lot of room for adaptation and incorporation; "granted specifically by Telos", by contrast, not so much. One could say that there's a design philosophy at work in the Pacts- that while they should be able to fit the particulars of a situation, they shouldn't zero in on a specific culture or order or NPC. Just sayin'.

I got the impression that the Vaasan warlocks were supposed to be predominantly Star pact, maybe with a few custom powers.

Actually, adapting the Green Star Adept prc from Complete Arcane to a paragon path would work for the Warlock Knights (since Telos fell as a meteorite).

Actually, that was the vague impression I got from the one-line description in the previews, though again, Dark might fit too, based on that impression.

I'll have to review that material for consideration, thank you.

*powers of the various NPC types*

Based on fluff, I'm thinking a lot of domination type powers too.

That help?

Those are all Star Pact (or Star Pact-style) powers. The Luminary's curse effect is Fate of the Void, just renamed. The one that isn't a Star Pact-style power is Double Eldritch Blast, which is Eldritch Rain (Fey Pact) renamed.

If the fluff implies domination-type powers as well, then that's more Fey Pact powers, or possibly the one Dark Pact power that dominates. To make one of these warlock knights, then, you just take a Starlock and mix in some Fey powers.

-Considering that we don't know exactly what Telos is, but that it fell to the planet in the form of a meteor, I think that the Star Pact is probably the most sensible way to go.
