| #1eepopSep 29, 2008 9:53:07 | I bought a FR players guide and some 20-30 pages were missing (end of swordmage to some paragon paths). Has this happened to anyone else? They weren't like torn out, it was misbound and that whole chunk is just missing. Anyone have any ideas about possible recourse? Thanks! |

I returnerd it to the bookstore (Walden's), and they seemed to be familiar with the problem (at least, they didn't think it odd). They let me get a new copy for it. I suppose if you ordered it online you could return it as well, but that complicates things. |

They've been having some trouble with downturn in the economy so I don't really want to put any more burden on them for something that wasn't even their fault. I may just have to borrow someone elses and xerox the pages i am missing or something. |

The other work-around is to buy another copy from Borders, and then put the Borders price-sticker on your bad copy, and return it. Its a little on the 'evil' side, but having a large corporation take the loss rather then the little guy is acceptable, as far as I'm concerned. ;) |

Daughter of the Drow, I believe it was. -Go to where ever it was that you bought it from, and exchange it for one that isn't defective. Defective products, that's something that the purchaser deals with (in this case, the store), and not you. |

They should be able to return it to the distributor because it's a manufacturing error. Don't eat the cost of a badly printed book because you feel bad about the possibility of your local gamestore not getting a few bucks. It's not your fault you didn't get a complete product. |

It's highly unlikely that they'll be charged for returning defective product, certainly in the UK it would be illegal to do so. The library I work for has this problem occasionally and some of our suppliers even give credit for defective books when you have to return them. |

I am not sure that the insides of the novel are subject to anything, however. |
