And really I dont see Cyric being Imprisoned as that big of a deal, he still has his followers, its not like they were all banished too, so Cyric's will is still felt upon the Realms, and knowing Cyric, he probably has a few aspects here and there that were not banished. |

Szass Tam/Larloch, 'nuff said. Expelling the shades from the material plane Ioulaum, in Elder Brain Lich form, is attempting to create a Toril-wide mythal with unknown intent. Lloth is directing drow powers-that-be to transform all elves into drow for chaotic purposes. My ideas tend to focus around the machinations of a single figure. However it would be an interesting campaign when the BBEG is something intangible. The spread of acceptence in slavery for example. Sure there could be groups behind it, but the fact that further areas embrace this idea is what the characters must stop. |

If he can bring a sizeable portion of Faerun with him. - A forgotten Primordial falls from the stars and crash lands in the ruins of Halruuaa, where it finds the god moulded world a disgusting mess and sets about cleaning up with extreme prejudice. - A well meaning cabal of powerful magi, aided by the Harpers, attempt to resurrect Mystra and succeed... Almost. the abomination they breathe life into is an obscene horror that must be put down before it makes the Spellplague look like a mild case of the sniffles. - The Sarrukh lich-kings of Oreme are awakened by a splinter faction of Shades using an artefact that houses the divine essence of Velsharoon. - All of the above, with Gargauth sabotaging the resurrection of Mystra and putting the artefact in the hands of the renegade Shades, with the appearance of the forgotten Primordial an unexpected spanner in the works of his grand scheme to position his cultists and thralls so as to capitalise on the destruction and chaos wrought, and keep the PCs running back and forth from one crisis to another (i.e., out of his way). |
