Petition for more Realms regional benefits

Nov 24, 2008 17:39:39 OK, this thread's probably been done already & there's always the possibility that the right people aren't paying attention anyways, but I want to see more regional benefits for the various lands & countries throughout the Realms that weren't covered in the FRPG. Now, I didn't really expect every Realms region covered in 3.5 to be found in the FRPG, so I wasn't too broken-up over it - but I was a bit disappointed when Returned Abeir & the various regions of the Underdark were left out. It just seems odd to me that they dropped a whole new continent on us & gave us drow as a PC race, but didn't give us regional benefits that might apply to characters using this material.

Maybe I'm just pining away for the good ol' days where web enhancements that filled this kind of void were common fare, but I'd love to see a Dragon article fleshing out some of the Realms regions that were left out of the FRPG, or even a short & sweet list of regional benefits tossed out there on the main site. Doesn't have to be pretty - just gimme the crunch, please!

Anyone else feel the same way?

While *I* read pretty much every thread on these boards, your best bet for other designers to read your request would be over there. In my experience, online petitions for some reason have a negative undertone to them and are typically ignored.

Nov 24, 2008 20:35:17 Duly noted, although I see from your first post in the thread that the missing regional benefits have indeed been included for discussion already.

But while I'm replying here, in addition to wanting to see more regional benefits, you can also add me to the list of those wanting to see those missing races brought back, more info on Toril's other continents (especially Returned Abeir), & a CliffsNotes version of the missing events in the historical timeline.
