| #1lord_karsusDec 22, 2008 13:56:53 | -In the spirit of the holidays, I am talking in rhyme. List plots that never happened, please, one example at a time. Number your contribution as well, if you don't mind. Doing so makes things easier to index and find. Write a little blurb about why, what you would have wanted- you can follow my example. A sentence, a paragraph, somewhere in-between is more than ample. Enough of that, on with the show. And, hey, WotC designers read the boards from time to time, so you never know...;) 01) The Fate of Vhoori Durothil 02) The Divine Tragedy 03) The Lost Sarbreen of Raven's Bluff 04) The Fate of Arilyn Moonblade & Danillo Thann 05) The Death of Drizzt Do'Urden 06) The Fate of the Royal Heir 07) Tales from the City of Hope 08) The Ongoing Life of Riven 09) The Return of the Dark Elves to the World Above 10) The Continued Saga of Cyric and Shar 11) The Continued Tale of Cadderly Bonaduce 12) The Simbul Cheating on Elminster 13) Bane Mellowing Out 14) The Outcome of the Harper Schism 15) The Final Fate of Manshoon and his Clones 16) Unresolved Plots in Westgate 17) The Magister 18) "Sea of Love" 19) The Fate of Ka'Narlist 20) It Was All A Dream 21) Revenge of the Trio Nefarious 22) The Masked Lady Revisited 23) The Thar Prophecy 24) The Collapse of Unther 25) Intrigue in Cormyr 26) More RSE Fallout 27) The Fate of Kymil Nimesin 28) It Was All A Dream Part II 29) Sourcebooks on Continents Other Than Faerûn 30) What Happened to Nimbral? 31) Elaith Breaks Down 32) The Tarrasque Wrecks Havoc 33) Cyric Gets His Just Desserts, A La Kelemvor 34) The Extent of Lolth's Web of Lies 35) Mist-who? 36) Defenders of the Faith 37) More General Vrakk! 38) Let Someone With Real Problems Have The Stage To Gripe! 39) President Drizzt 40) A Peek At Reclamation 41) What Shar Is Really Thinking 42) Warforged Terminators 43) The Metatext 44) Dissent Within the Ranks of the Shadovar 45) An Increased Importance of The Hordelands/Kara-Tur 46) More Extra-Faerûnian Influence 47) More About The Ill-Fated Auseriel 48) A Dead Elminster 49) Osse 50) Anchorome 51) The Destruction of Cormyr 52) The Dragonfall 53) The Cult of the Dragon 54) Powerful Fey Entities 55) War Between Cormyr and Sembia 56) The Covenant 57) Elminster buying AGHotR 58) The Dwarves of Delzoun 59) The Sons of the Vyshaan 60) More About Jergal 61) All Things Divine |
| #2lord_karsusDec 22, 2008 13:57:57 | 1) The fate of Vhoori Durothil -Vhoori Durothil was an amazingly powerful magician, with a pretty cool name. We are introduced to him in Evermeet: Island of the Elves, and we never see him again. His fate is something that is never mentioned. I, in my own setting, have used and incorporated him for my own purposes, but I've always wondered. Because, you know, what I determine isn't official. |
| #3affabledoomwalkerDec 22, 2008 15:17:00 | 2) The Divine Tragedy. A proper explanation concerning the events surrounding Tyr and Helm's duel, Cyric's involvement, and a more in-depth explanation of what the hell actually happened that ended up killing off the greatest deity the FR has ever known. At least more than a piddly few sentences found nestled under an oxymoron. |
| #4StiggerDec 22, 2008 15:17:51 | See, now I think this thread is dangerous, you might give the designers ideas, and they could take a perfectly cool plotline that was left hanging, and turn it into some Shar Triumphant! situation on us. Having said that... I'd be curious to see what became of that lost Sarbreen(?) angle from Raven's Bluff. |
| #5kelcimerDec 22, 2008 15:45:10 | 4) The fate of Danilo Thann & Arilyn Moonblade Danilo Thann was very much the man, Nimble, quick witted, and cunning was he. Arilyn Moonblade? Call a spade, a spade! A walking romatic subplot was she. A plot I do spy, is for her to die, And avenged by Thann she would be. |
| #618DELTADec 22, 2008 17:17:20 | -Drizzt getting killd dead! :P 18DELTA (Chosen of Cyric) ![]() |
| #7lord_karsusDec 22, 2008 18:23:37 | 06) The Fate of the Royal Heir -The story of Amnestria Moonflower and Elaith Craulnober is, I think, one of the most interesting, and ultimately tragic tales the Forgotten Realms have to offer. Youthful love, falling from grace, scorned lovers, everything that makes a story good. And, to think, their kid is out there, somewhere. We'll never know anything about heir... |
| #8rinonalyrna_fathomlinDec 22, 2008 18:36:58 | 06) The Fate of the Royal Heir You mean son?;) |
| #9rinonalyrna_fathomlinDec 22, 2008 18:40:34 | Some actual tales about the City of Hope. Do I expect to see it? Nope. |
| #10littlecarp04Dec 22, 2008 21:45:07 | What Riven (from Cale books) has been up to.... not trying to put spoilers but I imagine some fairly interesting things... |
| #11ZireaelDec 23, 2008 7:52:35 | I agree with the point on Elaith and Amnestria. AFAIK they had a son, not a daughter. Danilo and Arilyn are good too, though I don't like the idea of her getting killed. Somebody should end the whole Drizzt story once and for ever. As for myself, I'd like to see more elves/drow books. Maybe featuring Prince Lamruil and Maura? That'd be a great idea. Or a good book about Dambrath... the country of Crinti. |
| #12askanipsionDec 23, 2008 8:54:20 | 7). Drow continuing to come to surface in large numbers - I would like to see the drow return to the surface and build a kingdom like they had back in the Crown Wars. Lolth can then stick out her tongue at Corellon that they were back as a power on the SURFACE. . I want drow siege weapons, drow warlocks, temples of Lolth and those cool looking drow spelljammer ships to be part of their kingdom. No more hiding underground. If Zhentil Keep and Thay can be out in the open, why not the drow? They can take over one of the lands laid waste during the Spellplague. It seems like after the Spellplague the numbers dwindled again. |
| #1318DELTADec 23, 2008 9:17:17 | -More stories about Show Shar and Cyric! |
| #14CzarGarrettDec 23, 2008 9:52:24 | I think I'd like to hear more about Cadderly Bonaduce. We had a little cameo by him with Jarlxale and Entreri, but I feel like he was interesting enough (especially with the Bouldershoulders and a Monk as friends/companions) to warrant more. |
| #15rinonalyrna_fathomlinDec 23, 2008 12:49:04 | I think I'd like to hear more about Cadderly Bonaduce. Hmm...would be wrong of me to point out that Cadderly is supposedly going to play a part in the forthcoming novel The Ghost King? |
| #16markustay_dupDec 23, 2008 14:28:31 | I think I'd like to hear more about Cadderly Bonaduce. I usually re-read novels I like, and I liked the Cleric Quintet. But after he brought Cadderly back in a Drizzt novel, it sickened me so much I gave-away the books. Cadderly's sacrifice made the entire series for me, but bringing him back in that rather obvious author-caveat cheapened the whole thing. ![]() I've seem authors in shared-worlds turn other author's lore into garbage (plenty of times recently), but thats the first time I've seen an author destroy one of their own stories. |
| #17CzarGarrettDec 24, 2008 7:42:11 | Hmm...would be wrong of me to point out that Cadderly is supposedly going to play a part in the forthcoming novel The Ghost King? I did not hear about that. Thanks for letting me know. |
| #18markustay_dupDec 24, 2008 9:30:40 | A plot we'll never see? Elminster walking in and catching the Simbul in bed with Szass Tam. That would be wrong on so many levels. :D |
| #19MirtekDec 24, 2008 10:00:36 | Bane getting the therapy he needs and as a result getting over his secret shame and stops beeing a bully :D |
| #20rinonalyrna_fathomlinDec 24, 2008 11:02:36 | I did not hear about that. You're welcome. ![]() |
| #21uzzyDec 24, 2008 12:11:59 | 14) A proper resolution to the Harper Schism would have been nice, along with some information on the riddle/prophecy Khelben found. |
| #22uzzyDec 24, 2008 12:13:11 | 15) The Manshoon Clones. What did happen to all those? Again, some resolution on that would have been nice. |
| #23uzzyDec 24, 2008 12:18:52 | 16) And speaking of Manshoon, what about Westgate? What exactly happened to Orlak the Night King, the Night Masks etc? For that matter, what about Alias, Dragonbait and the like? I'd love to see a plotline involving Alias taking down Orlak, with the aid of Olive and Lady Thalavar. |
| #24markustay_dupDec 24, 2008 12:27:18 | I know Orlak moved east to his own city, where I think he's a king now in 4e. I could be wrong... 4e lore is all a blur to me. ![]() As for resolutions to everything - I think that may just be the #1 reason why 4eFR sticks in so many fan's craw. Its like having a part one and part three to a trilogy, and just never bothering making part two. Or missing an episode of Lost... |
| #25lord_karsusDec 24, 2008 12:52:49 | -Updated. Keep 'em coming. |
| #26maskedoneDec 24, 2008 13:43:49 | Shar replaced, Cyric gelded and enslaved. A plotline with a vaguely interesting Weavespinner or Magister some time before the Spellplague. |
| #27markustay_dupDec 24, 2008 14:04:07 | 17) A love affair between The Xanathar and that sexy Kraken-Society Illithid, Ventress. :P The novel could be called, Sea of Love. or Love's no Aberration... ![]() |
| #28ZireaelDec 25, 2008 10:00:30 | 18) The Nobles of the South or like that... I'd love to see something good about the Crinti. |
| #29markustay_dupDec 25, 2008 11:56:30 | There was a novel with the Crinti (or maybe a series of novels). Like everything else Elaine Cunningham wrote, they destroyed it come 4e. ![]() Nothing she contributed is left in the setting anymore... obviously someone took exception to her... how petty. |
| #30ZireaelDec 25, 2008 13:02:40 | The Crinti were only a side-feature. I want a book with Crinti as main characters and set in Dambrath. We know too little about this fascinating country! |
| #31redxdeliversDec 25, 2008 18:47:16 | 19) where did lamruil plant the tree of souls? for a hundred years elves have been going somewhere and nobody noticed. |
| #32markustay_dupDec 25, 2008 19:57:52 | That plots been retconned - the tree got planted, uprooted, and re-plated in Myth Drannor, and as punishment for daring to use an in-house authors private property, Lamruil even had his woman taken away and doesn't know where she is. The events are detailed (sort-of) in the GHotR; the Realm was called Auseriel. They created it and destroyed it all in a few entries. ![]() |
| #33lord_karsusDec 26, 2008 11:51:05 | -They giveth, and they can taketh away. |
| #34markustay_dupDec 26, 2008 13:53:14 | Yes, but that was the culmination of a wonderful novel, which makes the ending... worthless. ![]() Just like 4e did to Blackstaff. One day, not long ago, on the Fugue Plane: Khelben: "I did it! I earned their respect! Now I can finally go to Arvandor for all eternity!" Kelemvor: "Ummm... excuse me... you Khelben?" Khelben: "Yes.. but their must be some mistake... I'm to be picked up by the Elven Pantheon..." Kelemvor: "Yeahhhh... about that...." No seperate Elven pantheon means everything Khelben did was for nothing... especially considering all the coverage the City of Hope got in 4e. Why read ANY novels? Unless they are written by someone in-house, they are just going to get retconned into meaninglessness. |
| #35blackmasqueDec 26, 2008 22:46:46 | Can I mention plotlines I DON'T want to see? ![]() |
| #36quale1Dec 27, 2008 14:07:06 | What happened to K'anarlist, I'm not sure that I remember this right, he might be in stasis, in a pearl, at the bottom of the ocean |
| #37lord_karsusDec 27, 2008 16:02:47 | Can I mention plotlines I DON'T want to see? -I'll make a new thread for that. What happened to K'anarlist, I'm not sure that I remember this right, he might be in stasis, in a pearl, at the bottom of the ocean -He's in MY setting. ![]() -We don't know what happened to him. He is presumably killed when Atorrnash is destroyed in the cataclysm of the Sundering. However, Lolth makes specific mention that his soul does not wind up in her domain. This is odd, because, though he had initially been a worshiper of Ghaunadaur, he became a worshiper of Lolth. So, upon his death, he should have gone to her domain. Coupling this with the magical pearls that he had, the leading hypothesis is that he somehow "trapped" his soul in one of these magical pearls, like he (and his "son", Malenti) did with the souls and magic of various Sea Elves. This, in turn, would mean that either he's completely stuck in there, or the pearl is acting as his phylactery, which, in turn, would mean that he's a Lich. And, being an extremely powerful Archmage 25,000+ years ago, he'd probably be even stronger today, if he does indeed exist. |
| #38uzzyDec 28, 2008 8:56:07 | 20) Mystra returns and brings back the timeline to 1374 DR. (And has enough wherewithal to stop Cyric's silly plan) Though, Cyric remains mad, as he is the only being in Realmspace with the knowledge of the other Realms. |
| #39quale1Dec 28, 2008 14:29:11 | -He's in MY setting. even better story than I imagined first Though, Cyric remains mad, as he is the only being in Realmspace with the knowledge of the other Realms. lol out of other plotlines, I'd like to see what's with Artus Cimber, he's mentioned in the Auril's realm article, but have a feeling that he's not a typical exarch also Gondegal and something new with Jander Sundstar |
| #40affabledoomwalkerDec 28, 2008 18:46:59 | 15) The Manshoon Clones. What did happen to all those? Again, some resolution on that would have been nice. To my knowledge, there is only one left: the vampire who is either working with, or fighting against the fire knives - I can't quite recall at the moment. He's operating free of zhent activity, and is primarily a thieves' guildmaster IIRC. |
| #41ZireaelDec 29, 2008 4:43:30 | 20) Mystra returns and brings back the timeline to 1374 DR. (And has enough wherewithal to stop Cyric's silly plan) Great idea! |

| #43markustay63Dec 29, 2008 13:15:44 | 20) Mystra returns and brings back the timeline to 1374 DR. (And has enough wherewithal to stop Cyric's silly plan) Nice plot, but I'd throw in a twist - I'd have the Chronomancer return from Netheril, who finds out about the future (naturally), and brings Mystryl forward in time to help Mystra. He succeeds, and the world is 'set right', but the strain is too much for him - returning to his own time, he dies of wounds supposedly received while defending Luskan (or whatever it was called back then). I never really cared for the Chronomancer's ignoble ending, and I think this would fix that, and the world at the same time. ![]() |
| #44quale1Dec 29, 2008 13:45:44 | the Trio Nefarious were killed on the Prime after reconstituting in the Blood Rift, they'd want more revenge |
| #45lord_karsusDec 29, 2008 18:13:06 | -The Masked Lady -While I did not necessarily like (or agree with, canonically) how Eilistraee slew Vhaeraun, I liked the concept of the Masked Lady. Her presence was extremely brief, but I find that the concept of the Masked Lady as Eilistraee + Vhaeraun made more sense than Eilistraee and Vhaeraun individually. |
| #46markustay63Dec 29, 2008 18:33:12 | Yeah... one of wotC's better ideas from the past year or two, which unfortunaly didn't last long enough for any of us to use. Who is all this lore supposed to be for, anyway? ![]() |

| #53IluvrienJan 04, 2009 9:03:52 | -I don't know. A thread to look at and collectively sigh with forlorn? Well if that is the case then: Vangey (or Laspeera) foresaw, with the advent of the spellplague, Hard Times coming for Cormyr and decided to consolidate the monarchal base. Allowing tales to be told of Alusair's disappearance and the Dowager Dragon Queen's Death they were actually preserved in the shadows through the extensive use of Longevity potions (or some other such thing). Having been present, quietly, through the reigns of kings Azoun V and Foril with the Dragon Queen acting as confidant and advisor and Alusair as the Hidden Hand of the Dragon Throne (I know, too many capitals). Both women having only just had time to truly come to terms with Azoun IV's death in 1371 before the cataclysm in 1385 used their devotion to Cormyr to weather the storm (physical and emotional. Both are now aware of the possible unrest (Irvel vs. Erzoured) in the succession to come and have resolved that Cormyr's royal family cannot be seen as divided at this most crucial of times. So to show Faerun a united and strong House Obarskyr they are both revealed and take their place in the open at last on either side of the coming king (Irvel) as his strong (Alusair) and wise (Filfaeril) right and left hands. ... would I like it? Yep. Will it happen? Oh hells no . What? |
| #54StiggerJan 04, 2009 10:23:03 | What an interesting idea Iluvrien... ![]() |
| #55lord_karsusJan 04, 2009 12:09:02 | -More Fallout from RSEs. -This was best encapsulated in Realms of the Dragons and Realms of the Dragons II, where we got lots of smaller stories pertaining to the Rage of the Dragon. I wish more of these types of stories were published. The Time of Troubles was a massive RSE. I wish we could have seen more of how it affected the entire planet in a "Realms of the Time of Troubles"-type novel anthology. Same thing with the Tuigan Horde. "Realms of the Tuigan Horde" would have been nice. If things are going to be shaken violently, let's at least see a bit more how things get shaken. |
| #56IluvrienJan 04, 2009 12:24:06 | What an interesting idea Iluvrien... Thanks, after I started typing it I had half a dozen more ideas for details and little byzantine plottings. I have actually started noting them down so that if I should a) ever run a game and b) it should happen to be a Realms game and c) that Realms game should happen to be set in 4E then I can use them ;). There are other ideas for plots... but those are on pretty much the same level of selfish wish fulfillment for me :D . |
| #57elf_shaman_of_tiamat_dupJan 04, 2009 22:25:04 | More Far Realm. More Abeir. A Jarlaxle Solo. A race of anthros. :3 |

| #59markustay63Jan 05, 2009 17:14:29 | I have something similar - not for Filfaril, though (don't really care enough about her). Alusair enters the cave of the sleeping lords (who were destroyed in the War with the Gazneths). I have it where the enchantment is on the cavern itself, and not the (now destroyed) Lords. This way, Alusair can lie there quietly awaiting "Cormyr's time of greatest need". The prophesies also say that Azoun (the REAL Azoun) will return at that time as well. :D More Far Realm. The thread for plot we would NOT liike to see is somewhere else. You want more 'Far Realms', check-out Eberron. Its all about psionics and aberrations - no need for that in WotC's only other supported setting. |
| #60IluvrienJan 05, 2009 18:56:49 | -Thats a pretty bad *** idea you got there. I must be getting old. It took me the best part of a day to work out what was behind those stars... and if I am right and it wasn't an insult then thanks. After writing it up here it has actually been poking me in the brain enough that I have started taking my mindless jottings on the subject and fleshing them out into a full campaign idea. My first ever. I have something similar - not for Filfaril, though (don't really care enough about her). I can understand that, and I like the idea about Alusair becoming a Sleeping Lord. I just preferred her to be still around and raising heck. For some reason the mental image of her lying quietly somewhere rather than shouting at someone or beating seven kinds of... excrement out of something deserving doesn't sit well for me ;). I have decided to work through my other selfish wish-fulfillment plots. If any are up to scratch I may well post more of them. You have been warned . |
| #61lord_karsusJan 05, 2009 23:09:44 | The Fate of Kymil Nimesin -I don't think anyone liked this guy. He really was the ultimate villain, in that he wasn't a crazy, super-powerful Shadow Drow Lich Assassin Ranger. He was quite sane (in the relative sense). That's what made him so dangerous, and such a great villain. I don't know if Elaine intended to settle his fate in her canceled Reclamation, but he's still out there, somewhere. I don't necessarily want to see him dead, disposed of, or anything else. I'd just want to know where he is, and what he's up to. |
| #62lord_karsusJan 05, 2009 23:11:02 | -There's some interesting (and, dare I say, 'Cool') ideas being thrown around. Take all of that into (a) new thread(s), and develop them more and such. ![]() |

| #78ody_saraph_of_karsusJan 12, 2009 15:55:20 | He doesn't need Ao help, Kel "IS" death! I've never belived that Kel stopped loving her, if anything He would've love her even more (confident woman/godess that refuses to give up her belives :drool . |
| #79ZireaelJan 13, 2009 13:13:43 | Elaith viewing Arilyn as his daughter of sorts? Great idea! ![]() ![]() |
| #80aryanightingaleJan 13, 2009 19:15:33 | I would actually like to see a story about a very controversial group of evil elves: fanatics of Moander (secretly Lolth). It is in my opinion that though Lolth is not my favored deity, the way she weaves webs of chaos is interesting. Another idea is the possibility of this cult actually finding out who has been giving them power, but becoming so depraved that they do not care anymore. Other ideas include the "revival" of the Vyaashi. These kind of things would make the realms more darker, but I do not mind a little darkness in my setting. ![]() Regards, AryaNightingale |
| #81TheriseJan 14, 2009 23:01:23 | I know it's been said before (well probably, anyway), but I would have loved to read more of Elaine Cunningham's characters. ![]() Another thing, but probably too late for it now, I would've really liked to have known a lot more about the Mistmaster. ![]() |
| #82maskedoneJan 14, 2009 23:19:39 | I'd have enjoyed more with Zalathorm or Liriel taking up Mystra's faith but I'm not entirely certain I'm liable to be picking up new FR novels in the near future. |
| #83markustay63Jan 15, 2009 0:00:40 | I think there needs to be a trilogy about General Vraak... maybe even two... or perhaps an entire 12-volume set... ![]() Seriously... Obould is a crappy, two-dimensional clown next to that guy. |
| #84ravenharmJan 15, 2009 0:32:57 | i'll take your advice and bring jander here then lol. :D the plotline that i would like to see is a shadowfell/FR story where the missing parts of the realms are there, jander sunstar finds purpose. perhaps a plotline with him coming to terms with his vamparism and becoming the big boss that a certain drow ranger could never be? |
| #85sfdragonJan 16, 2009 4:16:22 | Drizzt ending up in charge of silverymooon |
| #86rinonalyrna_fathomlinJan 16, 2009 10:59:24 | I think there needs to be a trilogy about General Vraak... maybe even two... Eh, be careful what you wish for. The character might just turn into another Drizzt. |
| #87ravenharmJan 16, 2009 21:32:59 | drizzt is drizzt for reasons we both mentioned on other threads fathomlin. ;) now if a bunch of books were written on a character and we found progress, reason, and above all entertainment, i woulnd't see a reason why not. though i do confess, i don't know who vraak is :embarrass |
| #88stryfeJan 17, 2009 3:11:14 | So far, all very good thoughts ![]() Isn't there two Manshoon clones left...the vampire and another one running around with the Zhents still? I vaguely remember, or think I do, that these two found something to negate the "kill reflex" the clones had for each other. Okay, my topics... 1) Whatever happened to the two god-elves they made...the one from Evereska and the one from the retaking of Myth Drannor. 2) The retaking of Myth Drannor DESERVES MORE than 1/2 of the last book of a trilogy ![]() 3) I'd like to see the saurials go eat all the dragonborn, because they're the head honcho lizards of FR and were completely...forgotten. 4) Whatever happened to the Eberron cyborg transplant and his dragon bed-buddy from the Rage series. 5) A little more about Lhaeo taking over Thethyr (right nation right? )6) I'd like Alizzsa (sp) to bring back that cool drow wizard dude Phaerum...she has/had his finger. Maybe him, Jarlaxle, Artemis, and Erevis can team up and go beat up on some developers for screwing the elves over. 7) And last but not least, a Real Life newspaper article stating that WotC employees were exposed to some kind of amnesia gas, found a copy of 3/3.5 FR and continued on with that in a more logical manner while a well-intentioned burglar stole all their copies of 4ed FR material ![]() Sorry if the format isn't exactly what you had in mind ![]() Sorry, forgot a couple... 8) Why Selune wasn't there to save her daughter and 4th oldest and, arguably, the strongest diety. Just what was she up to during all this. 9) Some kind of...something explaining Sune's de-evolution from the Goddess of Love to the Goddess of P imps. Could make for a good first M rated novel ![]() That is all |
| #89ghostofelviscostelloJan 17, 2009 6:26:20 | I would absolutely kill to get a chance to read Reclamation by E.C. All I want is to see how that whole saga shook out. |
| #90drizztsmanchildJan 19, 2009 2:19:30 | Kelemvor, Taking revenge on Cyric for the death of Mystra. Actually by all rights Cyric would have more power as according to the rules since Cyric killed Mystra he should"technically" be the new god of magic as well. |
| #9118DELTAJan 19, 2009 2:27:58 | Actually by all rights Cyric would have more power as according to the rules since Cyric killed Mystra he should"technically" be the new god of magic as well. -You just made my day/night. Cyric is very pleased with you. ;) 18DELTA (Chosen of he who killed Mystra with a stick. Cyric needs to be the NEW GOD OF MAGIC!) :P |
| #92sfdragonJan 19, 2009 3:09:15 | Shar's secret Pillow book. has pictures of unimaginable terror in it, of both her and cyric |
| #93drizztsmanchildJan 19, 2009 3:22:35 | -You just made my day/night. Good. Because I've always thought Cyric was the coolest god because while all the other gods rarely interfered with mortals because they were to absorbed with themselves. Cyric was actually fulfilling the terms of his office even among the gods. I think Shar(who deserves to be pimp slapped when Cyric gets released) even followed Cyric's example by orchestrating this entire brouhaha. It was always fun to watch Cyric plotting and seeing the results. |
| #94drachasorJan 19, 2009 12:42:56 | http://forums.gleemax.com/showpost.php?p=17631782&postcount=5 It's awesome! (I have belatedly realized I meant to post this in the other thread). Oops! (Feel free to ignore this post now). |
| #9518DELTAJan 19, 2009 16:50:02 | -Interesting Warforged Terminators. :P 18DELTA (SUPPORTING ALL VERSIONS OF THE REALMS) :D |
| #96rinonalyrna_fathomlinJan 19, 2009 21:28:04 | drizzt is drizzt for reasons we both mentioned on other threads fathomlin. ;) now if a bunch of books were written on a character and we found progress, reason, and above all entertainment, i woulnd't see a reason why not. though i do confess, i don't know who vraak is :embarrass An orc general who helped Cormyr (and the Western Realms) against the Tuigan Horde back in the day. ![]() |
| #97lord_karsusJan 21, 2009 10:02:04 | -As I said before, can we please take the non-related discussions of things to their proper places, in threads that either already exist, or that can be created? Thank you. ;) |
| #98quale1Jan 28, 2009 15:08:35 | I wanted to see more about the Metatext, it's a great idea, not entirely revealed though |
| #99krownhunter07Feb 02, 2009 18:43:13 | I'd like to see 4e FR books and adventures in hardcopy... most likely won't happen anytime soon though. |
| #100krownhunter07Feb 02, 2009 18:46:29 | Oops, plotlines... ok. How about details on dissent within the Shade empire, say, not all of them being happy about their big bad uber overseer and her meddling ways. Oh, and I'd like to see more on Evermeet and where it is at in the Feywild... |
| #101lord_karsusFeb 04, 2009 10:05:29 | An Increased Importance of The Hordelands/Kara-Tur -I like both of them; people know this. Sources on the east often mention and talk about the above mentioned places, in terms of how they affect eastern Faerûn, but I, personally, would like to see more. |
| #102quale1Feb 04, 2009 10:55:38 | I'd like to see a book where the interaction and relations of various continents of Toril is explained. |
| #103crossroads_wandererFeb 05, 2009 21:01:10 | I'd like to see a story about the settlement founded by Lamruil, continued from Evermeet. |
| #104RamienFeb 05, 2009 22:01:00 | I'd like to see Elminster die. Once and for all, no coming back. |
| #105drizztsmanchildFeb 05, 2009 22:16:56 | I'd like to see Elminster die. Once and for all, no coming back. Can't he's just Popular enough to keep alive. Besides who do you guys really think is going to become the new "mystra"? |
| #106RamienFeb 05, 2009 22:33:56 | Can't he's just Popular enough to keep alive. Besides who do you guys really think is going to become the new "mystra"? Yes, I've already made a comment or two on that matter. I still want him to die die die die die die die die die. |
| #107krownhunter07Feb 05, 2009 23:31:44 | Yes, I've already made a comment or two on that matter. I still want him to die die die die die die die die die. I don't see that as likely... but he could be dead in your game. |
| #108drizztsmanchildFeb 05, 2009 23:50:12 | And wouldn't be rude to kill off the main character of the guy who created the world in which you play . I think so. |
| #109RamienFeb 06, 2009 1:10:16 | And wouldn't be rude to kill off the main character of the guy who created the world in which you play Depends. If he realizes the Old Mage has served his purpose, than no, it's not rude. Blackstaff's Waterdeep still stands, Alustriel's Luruar remains active, Szass Tam pretty much reshaped Thay in his own image, the Simbul's Aglarond still stands against it, and the War Wizards of Cormyr still follow in the footsteps of Vangerdahast. I'm also sure that some mildly roguish mage has taken up the title of Volo and has started publishing guides to the Realms again. Elminster only ever had his magic; he never really made his mark elsewhere, and now the magic's gone. I'm not saying they should go out and drop a flaming mountain on him, especially since Toril's not the right world for that sort of thing. Just have him give up his life to actually create something that'll actually last, even if it's just giving up his life to let the last divine spark from Mystra create a new deity of magic. Anything's better than having him grump about Storm's old farm telling adventurers to get off his lawn. |
| #110lord_karsusFeb 06, 2009 10:18:17 | -Please take the side commentary to a thread where it is more appropriate. |
| #111rinonalyrna_fathomlinFeb 06, 2009 11:29:36 | And wouldn't be rude to kill off the main character of the guy who created the world in which you play I just want to note that Elminster is not Ed Greenwood's "main character", rather it's the character TSR/WotC chose to emphasize. From Ramien: Elminster only ever had his magic; he never really made his mark elsewhere... Not true! There, I've said my piece. Carry on... ![]() |
| #112lord_karsusFeb 11, 2009 9:48:19 | Osse -Sounds like an interesting place. I want to see more of it, asides for the three odd points that we have concerning the continent. |
| #113lord_karsusFeb 18, 2009 9:12:53 | Anchorome -Same thing with Osse above. Only, I want to see a good Anchorome, not the supposed "chain of islands with dungeons that never end" that Ed Greenwood has mentioned. |
| #114ChrisTheSFeb 18, 2009 10:17:21 | I'd like to see the cold war between Cormyr and Netheril heat up into a massive conflict that results in the devastation and subjugation of Cormyr and all the lands around beneath the shadow of the floating cities. I got this urge, interestingly, from reading about the fall of the Hosttower in The Pirate King. Not sure how I made the connection, but it's a pretty enduring one. I've added it to my list of future campaigns, along with my 'height of the Spellplague' game which I'm sure I'll get to run sometime in the next decade. |
| #115meto30Feb 18, 2009 10:24:50 | Dragonfall! What were the eggs all about, anyway? And where did all the plot about the Church of Tiamat and the Cult of Tchazzar gathering the eggs go? I'd also love to see Tchazzar driving a massive campaign of conquest, but that's just my wishes... Tchazzar is so SEXYYYIIEEEEE (lol) |
| #116lady_rolindinFeb 18, 2009 14:37:16 | Things I would like to see are more Cult of the Dragon, more on Corymer, and to see the Netheriess city of Dabloum come back from where ever Karsus sent it. |
| #117lord_karsusFeb 20, 2009 23:17:55 | Powerful Fey Entities -They exist out there. Having had my interest piqued when reading Plague of Spells, with the Lord of Bats. I'd like to see more on Forgotten Realms-specific ones, or Forgotten Realms relevant ones. |
| #118uzzyFeb 23, 2009 2:13:58 | Calednei gets captured by Sembian forces, causing Princess Alusair to launch an utterly futile war to get her back. I'm getting Iliad vibes from that plot idea. Might need a bit of work though. |
| #119addle-cove-anarchistFeb 24, 2009 15:12:45 | wanted to see more about the Covenant, particularly what they are doing in the planes |
| #120markustay63Feb 25, 2009 13:56:58 | Elminster enters the timestream and warns the Chosen about whats going to happen, and they use his portal to Ed Greenwood's study to enter Earth's sphere and attack the WotC offices before it can happen? :D |
| #121StiggerFeb 26, 2009 6:31:39 | Hah, that's a good one. :D |
| #122lady_rolindinFeb 27, 2009 15:04:01 | I would like to see more about the Delzone Libries, since there are the tombs of the Delzone dwarven wizards kings and Queens 2e sorce. They had to had a libary for the kings and queens, maybe even for the whole Delzone wizards. |
| #123lord_karsusFeb 28, 2009 22:10:53 | The Sons of the Vyshaan -I always liked that plothook, from LEoF. Something needed to be done with it, and either proven true or false. |
| #124ZireaelMar 02, 2009 1:17:56 | Sounds good really. Meaning the Vyshaan bloodline has survived till now? (don't own LEoF) |
| #125lord_karsusMar 02, 2009 11:49:37 | Sounds good really. Meaning the Vyshaan bloodline has survived till now? (don't own LEoF) -Yes, it's a plothook idea in LEoF. Basically, there's some pirates hunting around Evermeet, who are flying the flag of the Vyshaan, and are reportedly survivors of the bloodline. |
| #126halsfieldMar 02, 2009 22:01:38 | Most of this list could be added to the other one. |
| #127lord_karsusMar 05, 2009 9:18:45 | More About Jergal -I don't want to see Jergal go all "super evil", like in the campaign thing, but anything more about him would be good. |
| #128ZireaelMar 05, 2009 9:43:50 | -Yes, it's a plothook idea in LEoF. Basically, there's some pirates hunting around Evermeet, who are flying the flag of the Vyshaan, and are reportedly survivors of the bloodline. Great, thanks! |
| #129lord_karsusMar 09, 2009 11:28:27 | Divinities -I'd like to see more on the divine, getting a better glimpse at their churches, or relics, or philosophies, things like that. |
