| #1ywhtptgtfoOct 23, 2009 18:10:52 | After all this while, I am surprised that WotC has still not published anything related to Drow vs. Elves and Shar vs. Selune, despite all the background on their whole antagonistic positions. That makes elevating Selune and Lolth to Greater Power relatively meaningless. By the way... Lord Karsus' gone? |
| #2The_SilverswordOct 23, 2009 18:18:55 | Give it time im sure theyll publish something. I think Selune should always be a greater power. She was in on the Creation, her and Shar are the oldest gods in the Realms, aside from Ao. I think they said something to the fact the Selunes powers wax and wane like the phases of the moon. In one era shell be a lesser power in the next a greater. As for Lolth im not sure why shes a greater power now, might have something to do with them getting rid of Racial Pantheons, so shes just not the Drow goddess of evil spiders shes a general godess of evil spiders. And yes it does appear that Lord Karsus has left us. Hes come in a couple of times and posted something. So who knows? he might come back. We have been seein more and more of the old group comin in lately... After all youre here. So our Summoning Ritual really did work!! |

I'm not. FR's been bumped back down the line again and again. To be honest, I don't think it's because the designers don't want to do it (exact opposite); I expect the real problem is that their bosses are telling them to look at other topics (for some Ao-forsaken reason), and they can't very well say no. Shame, too, because personally these two topics are much more interesting than Laerakond. But we don't call the shots, so most of us are ****ed in some way or another, depending on your preferences. By the way... Lord Karsus' gone? Yes, but he still drops in every once in a blue moon. Maybe he'll come back, maybe not. Keep hope alive, don't 'cha know. |

Indeed. Given the right author and designers, the Shar vs. Selune plot can be pretty interesting to develop since neither have been traditionally portrayed as typical divinities of light or darkness. As for the issue with designers, it's not known to us as to how much of a say they have. However, if they really want to do something that's popular to the fanbase, I'd assume it wouldn't be difficult to push it forward. At least that's from my experience in working as a game programmer. By the way... Lord Karsus' gone? Yes, but he still drops in every once in a blue moon. Maybe he'll come back, maybe not. Keep hope alive, don't 'cha know. I heard he's NYPD - dangerous line of job. Let's hope he's not gone for that reason. :/ But on the other hand, there isn't really anything exciting going on with 4e FR for the past year. So it wouldn't be surprising for people to start looking at greener pastures. |

There will be no RSE's for some time to come and having those two go at it head-to-head would violate the new CoC of FR. Karsus--if, as you say, finally landed his job with the PD--is gone gone. He'll pop in now and again when he gets bored, but count him as buh-bye. As if being a beat cop isn't enough, he has to keep Rino happy. |
