| #1Aaron_HighcolorJul 27, 2008 8:11:07 | Where would you set Treasures of Talon Pass and Thunderspire Laybyrinth at in FR? I'm thinking Thunderpeaks for H2, but really not sure about the Free RPG Day module. TIA! |
| #218DELTAJul 27, 2008 12:01:22 | -Sounds good to me. Still waiting on The Thunderspire FR Conversion. Going by the Keep on the Shadowfell document it would be easy to place in the Realms. It would take some work but it would be doable. -Talon Pass was the free RPG Day Adventure right? Don't know anything about it. 18DELTA ![]() |
| #3Mr_MiscellanyJul 27, 2008 14:37:54 | I'm banking on setting up H2: Thunderspire Labyrinth in Cormyr. Somewhere along the northern Thunder Peaks, probably along the Thunder Gap and south of the East Way. Not sure where I’d set the other adventure just yet. |
| #418DELTAJul 28, 2008 16:27:08 | You might swing by Wizards.com/dnd next Wednesday... 18DELTA :D |
| #5markustay63Jul 28, 2008 18:18:47 | I'm banking on setting up H2: Thunderspire Labyrinth in Cormyr. Somewhere along the northern Thunder Peaks, probably along the Thunder Gap and south of the East Way. If you want, any of these conversions you do (including the one that came in the DMG) I can place on the Cormyr map for anyone who wants to do these there. Maybe even do a second set using what I have already done over in the Delimbyr Vale starting-area, so peeps can have a choice of where they want to run these. Its weird - in 3e I'd never consider doing seperate maps placing the same locale differently. |
| #6Aaron_HighcolorAug 02, 2008 8:26:01 | I would love to have a map like that, if you wouldn't mind, and it wouldn't take you more than 1/2 an hour...:D |
| #7markustay63Aug 02, 2008 10:23:38 | To alter an existing map? About that. :D Unlike the Chult map, though, this would take a wee-bit of research, which adds to the time. ;) |
| #8markustay63Aug 02, 2008 10:28:30 | I'm going to need some info on Talon Pass (or a copy of it) to place it. I'm planning on doing twos eperate ones for each adventure - one grouping centered around Cormyr, and a second around the FRCG start area in the North (where I have already done my Delimbyr Vale map for the DMG adventure). There's already a good pass on that map I did (Turstone Pass), but I'm not sure if it fits the scenario. If someonne wants to send me Talon Pass I'm sure it wouldn't violate any rules since the thing was free to begin with. |
| #9barthalasAug 02, 2008 13:02:35 | So where exactly did you place H1 & H2 around Loudwater? |
| #10Aaron_HighcolorAug 02, 2008 18:12:46 | I'm going to need some info on Talon Pass (or a copy of it) to place it. Well, tell me what you would like to know, and I'll do my best to help out! I have a copy of the module, I'll just have to "consult" it. |
| #11markustay63Aug 04, 2008 1:45:37 | I have it now, and I'm working on it. :D So where exactly did you place H1 & H2 around Loudwater? Haven't done so yet - so far I've only placed the short adventure (Fallcrest) from the DMG on the map (north of Loudwater, in an excellent spot recommended by Rich Baker). |
| #12Aaron_HighcolorAug 04, 2008 13:17:18 | I have it now, and I'm working on it. :D Ok, glad I could be of help? ![]() :D |
| #13markustay63Aug 05, 2008 0:55:12 | Everyone is a big help - I am constantly getting PMs on several sites feeding me info I didn't have, or locales I was unawre of. My maps are as much everyone elses hard work as mine. ![]() Right now fine-tuning my 3e Bloodstone lands map. Once thats completed (and posted), I will start modifying it for 4e as well. I'll start tinkering with H1 and H2 tomorrow. ;) |
| #14Aaron_HighcolorAug 05, 2008 10:53:09 | No, I was only referring to the fact that I was going to give you info that you may need, but you ended up w/ it anyway. I was posting "in jest". Hence the :D No worries, I love the maps! |
| #15merrikcaleAug 06, 2008 22:38:43 | No worries, I love the maps! we all love the maps |

I'm very much looking forward to these. As I said in another thread, you make lovely maps. 1st edition was the last time I spent any time playing D&D or in the Realms, and that was in the Dalelands (I found parts of my old grey box set, but much of it is missing after a half dozen moves). Now that I'm able to play again, I've embraced 4th edition and decided I'd like to explore the Silver Marches (or Luruar, I guess it's called now?) |
