| #5flamepulse2Aug 05, 2008 22:09:15 | What i want to know is if the campaign setting is going to be like hte DM's guide and their will be no reason for a "player" to get it. I will never run a game and i see that they are doing a FR players book, so this tells me that the CG is for the DM's |
| #6GreenKnightAug 05, 2008 22:11:14 | It's probably the case that a player only needs the Player's Guide. |
| #7lord_karsusAug 05, 2008 23:15:49 | I have already preordered everything I want thru Dec. -Geeze. It's probably the case that a player only needs the Player's Guide. -I don't think so. The player is going to need to know of Faerûn if they want to make up characters. So, unless the player's book goes into some detail about the world, players will need the FRCG to see what the world is like, to determine where their characters come from, and other relevant parts of their histories. |
| #8GreenKnightAug 05, 2008 23:55:56 | The regional backgrounds are probably in the Forgotten Player's Guide, so I'm guessing it'll have some regional info, with more indepth stuff in the Campaign Guide. Though yeah, if one wanted to create a character there, the Campaign Guide might be a good idea. |

As I like to humorously say, without reading an overview of the setting, you'll have characters making up Wu-Jen Yeti from Calimshan, trained in the ancient Miyeritaari martial arts. What? -Can I borrow ten bucks? |
| #11BelorinAug 06, 2008 1:10:35 | -Can I borrow ten bucks? I did say most of them were gifts. ;) Do you take paypal? :D Bel |
