| #1noneedforanameDec 16, 2009 15:53:20 | This is my first time posting so I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this question. I have searched the forums but can't find specific answers. I am creating a paladin to replace a dead character and made him a student of the plague. I took the encounter power Call of the Plague because I thought it would be great for a defender to bring all of the enemies over to say hello. My question is the keywords are arcane and implement so can I use my holy symbol as an implement for powers that don't include the divine keyword. I'd hate to think of my paladin prancing around with a wand tucked into his belt. Also, I remember reading somewhere that the paladin's holy symbol doesn't have to be equipped in his hand to use his powers, but now I can't find any specific wording confirming this. If you could give me references in addition to your answers I'd appreciate it. |

From the Compendium, re: Holy Symbols: A paladin wearing or holding a magic holy symbol can add its enhancement bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls to powers that have the implement keyword. So, either held or simply worn (presumably about the neck) works. |

A spellscarred can use his or her class’s implements, as well as implements he or she can wield because of a feat, with spellscarred powers that have the implement keyword." |

I got the linky here: www.wizards.com/dnd/Article.aspx?x=dnd/u... They got one pdf with all the books jumbled up in there, doesnt seem to be in any real order, but the Erratta Updates for the FRPG is in there. |
