Feb 23, 2009 17:47:00 I thought it was established that Karsus was indeed influenced (somehow) by Shar, but looking back over some old threads, it appears most of that was conjecture.

Was it ever firmly established in canon that she had ANYTHING to do with the fall of Netheril?

Feb 23, 2009 18:04:19 Hmm, I cant remember reading anything of the sort in any of the sourcebooks detailing Netheril that I've read atleast. It sounds plausible though. Could you link a couple of those threads you were talking about if you have them close at hand?

Feb 23, 2009 18:58:55 Most are archived, so they're hard to find now, with the board changes. I think this 'bit' had to do with those final three super-modules, IIRC.

I could have sworn something a little more substantial was released about all of this, but I haven't been able to find anything in the GHotR, either.

-It was one of the three "super-adventures", I believe, that established the concept that it was Shar "whispering" in his years to go ahead and develop and cast Karsus' Avatar. Might have been the last one, especially if AGHotR makes no mention of it, because nothing in that one was mentioned in AGHotR. A lot of things, ultimately, aren't mentioned in AGHotR, so...

Feb 23, 2009 23:02:00 I 'skimmed' through it, and Netheril is mentioned extensively (along with YET ANOTHER Enclave - Yeesh), but I haven't come across Karsus yet.

However, I did find something interesting concerning that Elven Tower - a possible connection to some lore about a certain Elven Prisoner over near Evermeet...

If anyone else knows the exact spot the lore is in, I'd really appreciate it - it'll save me from going through the entire adventure from beginning to end.

And no... it has nothing to do with her 'charms' (thats just a bonus). She has an amazing voice and is an incredible dancer.

Anyhow, since we have now established - from Karsus himself - that he was not trying to steal Miss Knowles' Power, we have to ask ourselves -

What is a 'Dookie', and would we be against stepping in it?

Feb 25, 2009 0:46:19 SHAR is a RASH that was under Ao's armpit which all the antibiotic cream couldn't cure so he allowed it to break off and develop into a living deity(Hence the reason she's considered a fungus on the realms and an fungus not properly taken care of has the tendency to turn ino a Plague which changes the entire dynamic of a society/world)
