I am playing a cleric of Velsharoon. The books I've read don't say hardly anything about him. Just that their are a couple rituals that involve sacrifice and I can't find anything about the whereabouts of any temples or anything like that. Anyone have any more information?

-The most (and best) information that can be found about Velsharoon will be in either Faiths and Avatars or Powers and Pantheons (one of them), two of three 2e books about the deities of the Forgotten Realms.

Powers and Pantheons I think it was... anyway, don't recall there ever being much to go on with his church. Some brief mentions of him in other books, Magic of Faerun comes to mind most there, but it was mostly on him rather than on his faith, and not really much of that.

-Yeah, it'd be Powers and Pantheons, since he's a demideity, and that's the one that details the demideities.

-I checked, to confirm, and it is indeed Powers and Pantheons.

Velsharoon: Dweomerheart (not sure on 4E take) and is linked to Azuth, Savras, Cult of the Dragon, Long Death Order, Cairnheim, Battle of Bones, and some strange connection to Szass Tam(maybe power struggle for godhood).

...and some strange connection to Szass Tam(maybe power struggle for godhood).

-The two were enemies and competators while Velsharoon was still mortal.

In 4 E he is drifting in the astral plane or dead.

-Last we heard of him (AGHotR), he and Azuth escaped the "collapse" of Dweomerheart by escaping into the Astral.

I heard more like "blasted" into the Astral Sea. Didn't sound like an "escape."

Though I imagine they could have been blasted during their escape.

-Here's the exact wording:

"...sending [deities] Azuth and Velsharoon reeling into the endless Astral Plane"

-Very 'make of it what you will', right now.

Well, I wouldn't say the word "reeling" is all that elegant if you are stating that they left by their own power.

Well, then. Let's hope they sober up before the release of the FRCG.
