Realms Deities that are listed in 5E PHB

It's cool to see the list of Realms deities in the PHB. It isn't a definitive list of FR deities, I'd think, but it's darn near to it.

Some we knew were returning, but others we weren't sure of, or at least I wasn't sure. It's great to see their names in print, even for the ones we already knew were making a return.

A few I've seen questions about, and who are present, are Azuth, Deneir and Myrkul. Asmodeus is not on the list, as Azuth's return may have indicated.

Others missing, but hopefully to return in later FR specific material, are Shaundakul, Vhaeraun and Eilistraee. All in all, it's good to recognize the pantheon once more.

I don't want to do a huge Q&A, but I will answer a few questions for those interested in the rest of the list. I'm on a tablet, or I'd try to post a pic. You each already have the PHB by the time my grainy photo finished uploading.

EDIT: I've updated this post with the below comments and listing.

I'll try to do a quick A-Z listing. I don't think it is going too far to just list the Realms deities. If so, by all means, delete my list. I'm posting on an iPad mini, so I'll probably cry a little, but I'll understand.

Each deity has one or two "suggested domains", rather than the sometimes expansive portfolios we are used to seeing. They seem to be more mechanical suggestions for use with divine classes than realms of influence, or portfolios. We'll see if they get more specific in the FRCS. I could see it going either way.

The non-human deities that are shared across settings, including Corellon and Moradin, are listed separately. Not listed are their associated or subordinate gods. So Moradin is listed, while Clangeddin, Dumathoin, and friends are called out in the text as examples of "other deities" not listed. So, the racial pantheons still exist, but aren't necessarily called out in full in the PHB.

Lastly, I've left "blank letters" for those with no corresponding deities listed. This might jog our memories or call to mind deities missing from the lists.

I was so happy when I flipped to that page of the PHB and saw Bhaal and Myrkul listed there. It's going to be great to have them back.

My only wish is that Torm stays a Greater God. I hope he has. He's too awesome to occupy the space of a Lesser God.

There are many lesser gods not listed. I expect that the FRCS, when it arrives, will have a much lengthier list.

The PHB list is great for extrapolating, in most cases, if you're playing at home.

Keep in mind guys that the list is Time Neutral. THat is you can play at any time in the realms not just locked into the current year.

So just because a God is listed dosnt mean that they exist now.

Ah, true. Vhaeraun, also, seemed to have a Chosen in the series. That's good news for those of us who prefer the drow have options.
