| #1MojoFlowAug 15, 2011 12:43:45 | The answer to this may just be 'make one yourself', but I am wondering if there is a less detailed 4e FR map that would be intended for players. Something that would show some of the main areas/locales that most characters would just know about, but keep a lot of the details hidden? I am using the map in the Campaign Guide as DM, but don't want to just hand that out to my characters, giving them knowledge that their characters shouldn't really have. I guess as a follow-up, has anyone converted the 4e map into a photoshop or gimp document with layers? Cheers! |

However, IMO the map from the DM's guide is sparse enough that you could hand it over to your players without fear of giving them too much information. Just remind them that the map you give them represents something that is neither precise nor perfect. Actual distances, travel times and terrain features may vary considerably. |
| #3MojoFlowAug 17, 2011 0:15:02 | Thanks, What I did for now was to crop the general area they will be starting in and gimp'd out some of the places that might not be known to the players. Didn't take too much work. I will mention to the players that the map they have is likely missing details and features that could be roleplayed through. Thanks for the quick response. Cheers! |
