-Anything to do with these topics is fair game. This includes, but is not limited to:

Divine Relics
NPC "Spotlights"
Monarchy Succession Lines
Church Heresies
Church/Shrine/Court "Expose"
Secular/Non-Secular Philosophies
Literature pertaining

-Please have any/all submissions given in Tuesday, March 31st. The compiled document is set for a tentative early April release.

-Submission Guidelines:
  • All material submitted must pertain to the above topics.
  • Materials that use the 3e rules, 4e rules, or Pathfinder (which will hereby be, 'Pe') are accepted. By virtue of the focus of forgottenrealmsvault.com, all materials must be "set" in the Forgotten Realms pre-1,475 DR, excluding retcons and/or retroactive lore insertion made by 4e Forgotten Realms sourcebooks, adventures, and/or novels.
  • Images are not necessary, but are certainly welcome. If images are to be included, the submitters must have permission to use the images, or must be the owners of said images.
  • Along with submissions, please include a name to be given credit for your work. This can be your actual name, a pseudonym, or some other kind of alias.
  • Material that, for whatever reason, does not make it into this issue will be "saved", and can be inserted into future issues. If this happens, editors will notify those individuals, to notify them that their submission(s) are being used.

-Any questions or submissions can be sent to my own e-mail address, or Private Message box, or Alediran, at the forgottenrealmsvault.com. Please, any e-mails or Private Messages, include in the subject line "Realmsvault Annual".

Ohhhh... I just may have something for this. :D

Nothing too 'philosophical' - just some details about a few fallen temples I've found 'lying around'.

heresies

I'm still kinda stuck with the Myth Nantar article

secular philosophies, that would be great

e.g. the possible origins of the Transcendent Order in Kara-Tur, but forget about it

"Transcendent Order"?

Was that from one of those "How to use this in the Realms" articles?

It sounds only vaguely familiar...

Anyhow, I actually thought of a cool temple... in Tabot, of all places...

But that's LK's territory, so I'll save that for something else.

Their abundancy reaplied tenfold with the list being cut so dramaticly... Imagine all the fun things laying untapped, triggered or trapped in a temple of Mask or somesuch.

Heh... and here I was only thinking about the 'old' ones...

I hadn't even considered the shear number of these things that must be lying around in 4e.

Cool. I'll see if I can throw together some of the Lliiran Philosophy ideas I've had chugging around in the back of my head for a while. If I find time, that is. Too much work!

Quick Question (and it may have some legal reprecussions) - Is this lore-only, or do you intend to include crunch as well?

Does literature include short stories? And, if so, any wordcount limits?

-Yes, yes it does, and no, no there aren't. As long as it's relevant to the theme, anything goes.

Well... I would say keep it 'short' - don't right a novella.

But this is LK's puppy, so if he doesn't think it needs word-counts, then I guess thats the way it is.

I actually had a brainstormm while responding to some stuff over at CK, which fits this project so perfectly.

I amy also want to do a smaller 'Heresy' as well, but lets see if I finish the first one, eh?

My heresy, if I get to do it, will be called "The Denyers of Mystra", and you actually just gave me the idea in another thread, LK.

I've actually had a story playing in my head for a few years now regarding a sorcerer/rogue who worships Selûne, his girlfriend/fiancé who's a cleric of Selûne and the childhood rival who winds up being a werewolf/priest of Malar...

Hmm... Now I have to go dig out my notes. :D

-Being as that I have already only very minimal stuff that's a fit to be in the file- since I made and completed bits and pieces already- I figure, I don't want to put a limit on 5, when we need 10. Something to that effect; I'm sure you know what I mean.

-If it's extremely long, we can always break it into different "installments".

That weblink didn't work for me. Is it typed right? I got the "This website does not exist" message.

Is there any sort of deadline?

I can pen something fast, or I can pour tons of research into it.

I'll see if I can't finish something.

I have an idea for a short I might do up. I also had an organization I was detailing, so we'll see if I finish that before then.

Would Elminster be considered a 'Divine Relic'? :P

I'm bringing my notes and snippets together for the short story. Originally, I had planned it as a novel, so I have to do some editing in to get a cohesive story that still shows the divine influence on the characters.

-Because of some problems we are having with the Realms Vault website, the project is being pushed back a few weeks, and will be delayed. As such, that allows a longer window for people to contribute. Things are really starting to take shape, with different articles from different people.

-If anyone has anything to contribute, please forward it to me. And, remember, it can be anything, of any length, so long as it pertains to this issue's topic.

I was going to try and get my contribution to you this weekend, but my laptop took the time to go crazy on me and I've spent the weekend just getting it to a decent restore point. Fortunately, I should be able to finish it up and get it out to you this week.
