-I am going to start a Realms Game set in 1380 DR The Year of the Blazing Hand.(The Blazing Red Hand of Doom :D ) I am going to set it in the Channath Vale. I am using 3.5, so please post useful information. I have one question. on what day of the week(10 day) would 20 Kythorn be in 1380 DR? 20 Kythorn is the Summer Solstice in the Realms.
-Thanks.

-:D I figured there was some kinda date calculator for the Realms. I bet that will get trashed in the Fourgotten Realms. :P :embarrass

-Unless it's specifically addressed, the calendar should remain the Calendar of Harptos, and should remain in tenday fashion. But, who knows...

-Crossing my fingers on this one. Watch them go to a seven day week in the Fourgotten Realms.

-Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It might be, though, such a "little" detail that it isn't even mentioned, and as such, stays the same.

-Well with the 'concerted' effort to trash the rest of the setting...

-Not all of it, nor was the intent from the get go to trash things (in most cases, anyway). But, just as the 3e books ignored so many of the "smallish" details from the 1e and 2e books, because of limited space and stuff like that, I'm sure that 4e will ignore a lot of the "smallish" details from 1e, 2e, and 3e.

Well actually in 4e instead of ignoring history they go for a more direct approach, wiping it out completly. Unther, Mulhorand, the Vilhon, Maztica, Sembia, etc. Most are now monster-infested wastelands that are barely recognizable from their original manifestions. No more worrying about tying in pieces of Realmslore together that would "overwhelm" an "average" player, just classic names turned into slash and hack.
