Hello to all

Just started playing 4th ed D&D (only three sessions) and I have been buying the books like a mad man. (I got my wife and kids to like playing D&D so I got the green light to buy books) I just bought the Forgotten realms campaign guide and started to covert the Keep on the shadowfell to the location that conversion guide that was suggested at this thread.
community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/758...

When I was writing a background for a player in the deepingdale to explain why she needed to go to highmoon to start the adventure, I realized that the rivers have no names, so my question am I reading the map that came with the campign book wrong, or is there no river names on the map?...if so how do I find out what the names are. The same seems to apply to roads also...

Also Highdale does not appear on the map, I know it in the Thunder peaks but where?.

Is  there a place that someone has made a more detailed map of that area?....the wiki info seems to be more like the campaign guide when it comes to information (general about the area)

Also has anyone used the Keep on the shadowfell adventure anywhere else on Faerun besides the location in the conversion guide if so how did it go?

Thanks for you time

It's an older map, but it should help. Welcome to the Forgotten Realms!

That maps is pretty detailed. Note that ia am usnure of all places are canon (I could not find e refernce to Landaw anywhere, for instance, though IIRC we did use it in the LFR adventure DALE1-5 Hunters Down (set in Deepingdale).
Volo's guide to the Dalelands also details Deepingdale. It is set prepspellplague but I have made a lot of use of it regardless.

Welcome to 4e DnD!

I'm having trouble placing things on the map, btw. Does it coincide with core descriptions? I know the official map doesn't always, so I'm just wondering. :P
