I have yet to read the undead novel as of yet for an unfortunate shipping situation. I don't mind spoilers, so if you would be so kind to lend me the Statistics of this fellow after the 2nd novel within the series, I would much appreciate it.

Someone told me he took on a God in Undead. Anyway, with that being said, is he a match for Eliminster now? Why doesn't he just slam the old wizard? I mean, once again people, you would think when to people on these power scales, one being good, the other being evil, that they would somehow cross paths? No, it is logical that Eliminster is in the area of the twilight war and doing nothing right? It is logical that sazz tam took on a diety(so I hear) and Eliminster just sits there letting it all happen. There is no such thing as a sane, logical mind in the Forgotten realms universe. Because the authors are too retarded to co-work a novel. Drizzt+Cale=money wizard, logic+1

BTW, I hate you too.

Cale and Drizzt are written by two very different people, and both character are from completely different walks of life, and parts of he world. For all your complaints of the nonsensical material, you certainly wish to push the boundaries of what could and would work.

As to the OP. No new stats have been or will be publish regarding Tam and the series. However Tam did not fight a god, and did not bend one too his whim. He simply cast an epic version of gate to call a more powerful extraplanar being. no different than calling a Balor, or Pit fiend.

As for why Tam and Elminster don't fight NoPity, the answer is quite simple. If Tam beats the Old Mage, who then is there to defend the weak from his tyranny? If Elminster Wins, there will just be a power vacuum left that another will fill. Or, he becomes so weakened by the battle that another Evil wizard comes about to finish him off. The same goes for Tam. If he beats Elminster, who is to say someone won't seize the opportunity to slay him in a weakened state?

I think you fail to grasp that these beings are far wiser than the simple blunt instrument you want them to be. They'll lay plans upon plans that may span centuries. They have the time to wait, and no need to risk themselves when the lives of others will do.

Because Elminster and Szass Tam (note the spelling) are really friends - they just don't want anyone to know it.

After all, Mystra is all about creating new magic, and El is her most loyal servant, and Szass is leader of a group that is responsible for more new magic then any other group since Netheril.

Ergo, Mystra :inlove: Tam then El :inlove: Tam too.

Thats the real reason behind the Simbul's anger - she knows that Elminster likes Szass better. ;)
