Does anyone want to review this product? So far, the only comment I've seen is "utilitarian".

I've not seen much outside of the Excerpts, but the SToS is a setup for player driven adventures. The goal of the scenario is pretty much "Get one question answered about anything." What this does is it gives you, as a DM, power to your players in telling you what they want to do. This allows you to tailor your game to whatever they end up doing. This is just really cool overall.

Without the scenario, I can't tell you any more, but it definitely is an enabler adventure.

-This thread belongs in Running the Realms.

Why? That board's description:
The Forgotten Realms have many unique races, classes, spells, and powers, all of which have been integrated and implemented in the setting. Discuss these mechanical aspects of Dungeons & Dragons here, with other fans of Ed Greenwood's panoramic campaign setting.

The module may be set in the realms, but it's also made to be used in homebrew campaigns as well. The Running the Realms threads are targeted toward people actually... well... running a Forgotten Realms campaign. As for the module, yes, the writeup in Excerpts does make it appear to be pretty open ended. I hope this is the case, as I've got a low level group looking to have a few questions answered for a quest they're on. While I may have to adjust level up a little to squeeze it in, such a good idea, if pulled off well, should be a blessing to my table.
