I mostly enjoyed the preview. I like the picture of Saharel (I like the character too, of course), and I think the basic hook being used to draw players into the adventure is pretty neat.

Seems serviceable thus far. The whole premise looks like it's going to allow for some really good roleplaying opportunities for the group so inclined.

I'mma probably pick this one up, though the locale and names might get transplanted to a spot elsewhere in the Realms.

Yes, that's exactly what I thought.

Just a minor gripe: Llorkh in the FRCG in the Loudwater section is noted as being in ruins. In Spellgard Llorkh (and Loudwater) are noted as being point of civilization in the Gray Vale.

I do like that the Lady of Shadows from the Loudwater (FRCG) is a Dark Creeper as are the beings on the cover of Spellgard. From what I can see from the excerpts it looks to be an interesting adventure.

-Never liked premade adventures...

I've always looked at them mostly for their ability to provide mechanically interesting scenarios and encounters to fill out game sessions with. With the exception of a few noteworthy Planescape titles, I've yet to run into a premade module that didn't need at the very least some embellishments and general improvements when it comes to the actual story.
