I've not done a LFR event as of yet, but I really want to just for the experience (myself and my characters) and I believe you get to keep the adventure once your done. I could be mistaken though.

Still, it's someting to look at if you want to continue your FR experience with certain characters with Realms specific adventures.

I'm currently running a group through the Scepter Tower and lacing it with all sorts of adventure hooks for later feats of daring-do.

The plan is that, assuming they rescue the Lady, that she will point our crew towards Thunderspire Labyrinth (H2). It's not set in the Realms, but they did publish a conversion article in a Dungeon a while back.

After that chaos scar and scales of war. Basically we'll just hit all of the published campaigns. My girlfriend just rather liked this one and wanted to continue. But as far as realms goes, we just found a LFR group to join. Now we start out at a lower level then the people who have already been playing; will we ever catch up? or will we always be a weak link?

Jan 29, 2010 11:47:09 In my experience with playing LFR, limited as it is:

You will catch up, provided you play regularly, because the amount of xps you need to advance each level is lower than everyone else's, so given enough time, you will sort of equalize. The wider the gap, the longer it will take to catch up, though, even if you're going up two levels for every one level they advance.

My advice is to play in LFR adventures suited to your level whenever possible. The way the game is balanced (with attack rolls and defenses being what they are), a +4 or higher level encounter is going to be really, really tough, and you don't want to do that more than once an adventure. Try not to go more than 1-2 levels above where you are.

And if you find yourself in a higher level adventure, just be very cautious. Other players have more hit points than you do. Focus on taking out minions and avoiding situations where you're going to take lots of attacks.

You might want to expend the adventures besides adding hooks and personalizing the fights.

Is there a way to grab these adventures without going to a LFR event? I'd like to give them a look and try them out but I don't have the time to devote to my local gaming store to play for 4 or more hours.
