#1 Jorunhast Jul 11, 2010 18:40:19	So, the way I'm reading things now in 4E, the outer planes are now (again) shared between settings?  Or does each setting have its own set of outer planes? How should I interpret this, really? In 2E, with Spelljammer and Planescape... I was never totally sure (then again, I didn't play during 2E) if individual settings were alternate realities or just distinct worlds in different parts of the multiverse.  But I definitely had the impression that there was only one Abyss, one Elysium, etc... that all the settings shared.  So, just one Lolth, one Asmodeus... In 3E, they seemed to go away from this, and (at least to me) suggest that each setting had its own set of unique outer planes.  So, multiple Lolths, multiple Asmodeuses... In 4E, now we're back to like it was in 2E?  So confused... help!
#2 salla Jul 11, 2010 18:42:03	All the gameworlds have at least a similar organization for their outer planes, but as far as I know each one is unique to the setting.  FR's Astral Sea is completely separate from Eberron's Astral Sea is completely separate from Dark Sun's Astral Sea and so forth.
